Hiya :wave2:

At least you have a couple of PS made, Thats a good start.

Everything is opposite in what way?....

If saying do this at this time not at this etc then I think you should try and oblige as the guide books are here to guide us through the world BUT if you & your family want to wonder at your own pace or go off track a bit then do. It is your holiday after all.

My MAIN advice would be to decide as a family your 'must do's' then build a basic plan around them so everyone has an individual thing to look forward to and the rest of the day can be built around that.

IE)

Kids want to do Dumbo in FantasyLand. Well everyone know FantasyLand gets busy early so make this on an EMH day.

Mum wants to see the Lion King show. See what time it is on then wonder around AK taking in the general atmosphere, Go on a couple of rides then get back in plenty of time for a good seat, Perhaps fitting in the character trail meet/greets nearby aswell.

Hope this helps a tiny bit.

well I have been told not to MK on Sunday or Monday bUT those are the days I want to go cause we are getting there on a sunday.

Anyone have ideas on what NOT to miss? Shows foods parades fire works etc

...eat at 50's Prime Time. People will have lots of fun.

Also, if soarin' is open, it is AWESOME. It is not scary, but exhilerating, fun, and pure Disney magic. I have been to the original in California.

Anyway, if you don't want to be the tourguide, follow ely's advice. Let them choose!

Good luck!

You MUST do all three night shows, Wishes at MK, Illuminations at Epcot, and Fantasmic at MGM. You kids will love them and so will you! XD I also recommend Philharmagic for the little ones in MK. It just a 3D show but you'll enjoy it just as much as they will. It has all the major movies that they will know and it just the most magical show ever! It's my favorite! At Epcot I'd recommend the Chinese acrobats, they are absolutely fantastic! You'll be amazed! Restaurant wise I think you should try the Sci-Fi theatre at MGM. It's my absolute favorite! They have great desserts and the best ribs you'll ever eat! But they also have the movie screen full of old B movies so that's always cool. Sometimes even the waiters and waitresses were roller skates! Those I think are the must...I mean there are a lot of rides that I absolutely adore, but these things are some the things I never miss.

Have you bought the Unofficial Guide yet? That's where I would start for planning days and deciding which parks you want to do in one day or multiple days. Perhaps you could also NOT plan the last couple of days until you get to it, and do whatever you liked best again (or finish up what you may have missed). Have fun....10 days sounds wonderful! :earsboy:

You mention 10 nights at POP and 10 days at parks. My one suggestion would be maybe take one day or even two to relax away from the parks. You know swim, explore the resort, maybe explore other resorts, Downtown Disney, etc. I think if you do a park every day, you might get burnt out. Maybe think of taking a break on day 5, half way through your stay. Just my opinion. :flower:

And how quickly you have come to the Zen of themepark planning. ;)

People give you opposite advice because you seem (from the bit you've posted in this thread) to be having a pretty typical Disney vacation. Most people arrive on the weekends, and they want to hit MK first thing that week. This is why MK is usually a zoo on Mondays - that is many people's first full park day AND most people choose MK as their first park.

However, how early are you arriving on Sunday? Or are you arriving on Saturday? Sunday AM is usually very quiet at MK - they don't start filling up until lunchtime. You could go the MK for opening (but make sure you are there BEFORE opening!) and get a bunch of rides done before the crowds catch up, and then hit another park.

Above all, remember it is your vacation - the advice many give here is simply to give you the most time to do what you want. You are staying for a long trip, so it's not as essential for you to always be at the least populated parks.

That said, I know others wouldn't like 10 park days in a row, but I say go for it! I wouldn't go to the parks every day from opening to close with no break, but most of us go to WDW for the parks and there is nothing wrong with going every day, as long as you plan some days lighter than others. With the new MYW passes, you aren't paying $50+/day per ticket so you don't have to worry about "wasting" a ticket day if you only spend a few hours in the park some day.

Good luck! And remember, advice given here is generally guidelines, not rules - file it away for future reference in the back of your head for when you need a certain tip, but don't live and die by these suggestions.
