well I have been told not to MK on Sunday or Monday bUT those are the days I want to go cause we are getting there on a sunday.
Anyone have ideas on what NOT to miss? Shows foods parades fire works etc
And how quickly you have come to the Zen of themepark planning.
People give you opposite advice because you seem (from the bit you've posted in this thread) to be having a pretty typical Disney vacation. Most people arrive on the weekends, and they want to hit MK first thing that week. This is why MK is usually a zoo on Mondays - that is many people's first full park day AND most people choose MK as their first park.
However, how early are you arriving on Sunday? Or are you arriving on Saturday? Sunday AM is usually very quiet at MK - they don't start filling up until lunchtime. You could go the MK for opening (but make sure you are there BEFORE opening!) and get a bunch of rides done before the crowds catch up, and then hit another park.
Above all, remember it is your vacation - the advice many give here is simply to give you the most time to do what you want. You are staying for a long trip, so it's not as essential for you to always be at the least populated parks.
That said, I know others wouldn't like 10 park days in a row, but I say go for it! I wouldn't go to the parks every day from opening to close with no break, but most of us go to WDW for the parks and there is nothing wrong with going every day, as long as you plan some days lighter than others. With the new MYW passes, you aren't paying $50+/day per ticket so you don't have to worry about "wasting" a ticket day if you only spend a few hours in the park some day.
Good luck! And remember, advice given here is generally guidelines, not rules - file it away for future reference in the back of your head for when you need a certain tip, but don't live and die by these suggestions.
