ok...Haunted Mansion at WDW

At WDW the walls move up. At Disneyland you the room lowers.

Cool! I didn't know this about DL. I can't wait to see it in June!

I've always suspected the walls move up at WDW, since you don't feel anything when it happens, and you're already about as low as you need to be to board the doom buggies there when you walk in the door.

If you look to the floor, you can see that at WDW, the carpet goes from the lobby straight into the stretching room. At DL this is not the case. At WDW if you stand by the door that opens after the stretch room, you can hear the noises from the other people in line. At DL you feel the elevator stop at the bottom.

At Disneyland the main show building for The Hauntrd Mansion is beyond the train tracks. The streching rooms take you down so you can go beneath the tracks and get to the doom buggies. If you have any interest in the history of the Haunted Mansion I suggest you grab the book by Imageneer Jason Surrell: The Haunted Mansion: From the Magic Kingdom to the Movies. He also wrote a book about Pirates of the Caribbean.

I got that book for Christmas from my DH. I LOVE the HM. It was a great read, now DH is reading it. I'll have to read it again just before our trip.
