Well I booked 2 bedroom and a studio for BWV. It will me me DH Ds BIL SIL Dneice Dnephew MIL FIL So a total of 9 of us. We are cruising the week before and are doing 3 days in WDW with 2 night at BWV.

Now I know this sounds weird but since we have been to SSR twice since buying DVC and LOVED it both times I am worried about staying at BWV. I was excited and still am but I feel like I know SSR and being we have never stayed at BWV I will not know all the things that make it special.

So I am asking all you BWV lovers to give me some tips about BWV and tell me why you love it so much. Any suggestions on what you enjoy and look forward to would be great and help me get psyched up about BWV :)

We enjoy the location to MGM and Epcot. It is easy access. We love Spoodles and ESPN and the ease to get to Epcot to eat in a different Country. Boardwalk rooms are bright and airy. In the evenings if you don't want to do the park you can rent a bike or just hang out on the boardwalk. the kids love the slide - we do like BCV better - just for the pool, but not for the point value.

have fun! We haven't tried SSG - maybe next time!

Thanks :)

I never knew that you could walk to MGM from BWV...Is it far? I know about the boat but just recently noticed ia pic of the walkway on allearsnet.

It's a 20 minute easy walk to MGM with a non-rushed walking style. Very nice along the canal with paved sidewalk the whole way.

You didn't say how old the kids are but they'll most likely really enjoy the Hospitality House at BWV. Lots to do at no charge.

BWV is a great resort, and I'm sure you'll find lots to like about it. It certainly has more "activities" surrounding it via the Boardwalk, yet we've found it to be very quiet in the rooms.

Thanks Granny. The kids are 5, 5, 7. I am hoping we will have enough time to see everything we would like to. They are already getting held out of school for this trip or else we would extend it longer :)

Our very first Disney trip, we stayed at the Grand Floridian for our 10th wedding anniversary -- and swore we would never want to stay anywhere else, ever.

But the BW changed our minds :rotfl:

We think of it as the "casual" cousin of the GF -- every bit as sunny and pretty, but with a different, dressed-down feel. The gardens and landscaping are lovely, and you really DO feel like you are "down shore" (as they say in Jersey :) )

We like the pool a lot, too -- and my wife's butt appreciates the slide much more than the more elaborate one at Stormalong Bay. :goodvibes

And yes, the convenience is really something: a 10 minute walk to Epcot, 15-20 to MGM. Great restaurants, too: Flying Fish, Spoodles and, a short walk away, all those Epcot eateries.

We like it so much, after buying our first batch of points at BCV, we bought at the Boardwalk, resale, so we could have early dibs on a room there.

We're BWV believers!

Community Hall -the activities center by the BWV quiet pool- is one of our kids' favorite things at all of Disney...the atmosphere at the Boardwalk is great...you can walk back easily after Illuminations -it's really a nice leisurely way to go back to your hotel after a night in Epcot...the boats are fun to ride from MGM to the Swan the Yacht Club to BW to Epcot and back...the Fantasia Minigolf is nearby...the gardens on the Inn side are lovely...

Three words about staying at BWV:

No Busses required! :earboy2:

You can literally hit MK (and their corresponding resports), Epcot (and resorts), and MGM without ever stepping aboard a bus!

basically, you would need to cut through Epoct (I love saying that) to get to the monorail for MK. Otherwise, you can take the launch or walk to Epcot and MGM. I think that is pretty cool!!!

Ok, maybe it is just me... :bitelip:
