I like sushi. On a limited basis so far....I really like spicy tuna rolls, the cali roll is fine...I've had a couple other things, but I really want to know what else I should try. I am worried about ordering something and not liking it. So, I figure if I tell you smarties what I DO like, you can help me know what else I might like. I don't want to waste something. I will say that the stuff with eel or something laying over rice probably isn't gonna work, visually. But what other options do I have? I LOVE spicy tuna. Like, craved it while I was pregnant....a little wasabi and some soy sauce...mmmmmmm. Just had it for supper tonight. Guess it is on my mind.

So, at teppan edo or Cali Grill...give me advice. And where else can I get sushi?

Don't forget the Kona Sushi bar. You can order from the Bar while you are dining at Kona or vice versa.

I personally love any sushi with crab, shrimp, and or smoked salmon. You will probably want to stick to something that has roll in the name/description and stear away from sashimi. I have never been to a sushi restaurant that hasn't been more than helpful with advice.

I don't know when you are going but we were there in Sept. and Yoshi made a special roll in honor of hurricane season called the Hurricane (of course)-it was out of this world. So if you are down there and see it-TRY IT!! Also any other special rolls she makes!

I have a similar taste for sushi. The raw fish laying over rice just doesn't do it for me! I can't get past the look of it, but I do LOVE other types of sushi. Spicy tuna, California, Shrimp tempura rolls . . . YUM!!!

I was at CG for the first time in September with DH and he had never had sushi before - it's just not his thing! I ordered the California rolls thinking I would easily get to eat the whole thing - WRONG! They were so gorgeous and I think I mmm'd and ahh'd a bit too much after the first roll that DH decided he had to try them as well. He loved them! I travel often for work and have eaten sushi at many places and this was, by far, the best! The California rolls were fantastic! I cannot wait to go back for more.

I have a picture somewhere of the California rolls. I think it might be on DH's laptop, but he's still sleeping! If you want to see it, I'll try to post it later.

Two words for you: SPICY SENSATION! CG makes the best sushi, ever, and I'm like you - love spicy tuna rolls. Well, the spicy sensation is just that - spicy tuna with fireball sauce. They have little scallops, too. Absolutely fabulous. And they're huge and so many of them. I promise you, you will love it.

Here is a picture of the Spicy Sensation I mentioned from one of my trips last year. Sorry, I had already eaten two of the rolls before I remembered to take a pic!

Rainbow Rolls are good to get you to sample different types of fish in a roll format.

I LOVE SUSHI, so I would eat just about any you stuck in front of my face (although I'm not a big fan of shrimp, its overrated for me - but I'd still eat it).
