With the whole parenting gig of a child with autism, we have to set the example of how to behave and try model appropriate social situations for her.
In an amusement park where they sell toys, I can sort of understand. It is fun to play and pretend, but when you take it to the grocery store, it is no longer appropriate, imo. Some things do not belong in some places, and that goes for toys as well. (My DD really likes scary looking toys. She has a collection of rubber snakes and realistic looking spiders and tarantulas. I do not think they are appropriate for her to bring to the store. They can wait in the car for us.)
