...would I be able to bring a backpack that has wheels and a handle?

Was thinking about bringing this to the park but figured I'd ask first.

Thanks!

No, wheeled backpacks are not allowed in the parks. They are too easy for other people to trip over.

The only wheeled items allowed are strollers, wheelchairs and ECVs. No wheeled backpacks, wagons, skateboards, or heelies.

That's what I thought. :sad1: Was hoping I could since I've hurt my back and didn't want to carry a purse or bag; but I understand the reasoning. Thanks so much for the quick response!

Because backpacks, etc. really make me perspire and I usually travel in the summer, I wear a fanny pack because I try to carry as little as possible and I hate being burdened with a purse. I usually only carry my Key to the Kingdom, money, id, a 3 X 5 index card with ADRs , etc., a sweatband, trial size bottle of suntan lotion. Everything else, mostly water, I either buy or take a bottle holder that I can attach to my fanny pack.

Hey Neighbor! :wave2:

That's what I will probably do - wear a fanny pack. I definitely don't (and can't) carry anything heavy.

Thanks!

I've also seen people who rent a stroller just to put their bags & stuff in. There's nothing that says you have to have a kid to rent a stroller! Some people might disagree with doing this, but I can understand. I have a bad back too. I carry a very light drawstring backpack with the very minimum of stuff in it, unless I have DD3 with me then I just hang a bag on the back of her stroller. It is much easier to push than it is to carry.

Another solution is cargo pants or cargo shorts. Try to minimize what you actually carry into the parks and stash everything in the large roomy pockets - if you absolutely need bigger or heavier items, think about renting a locker. I also try to fit as much as I can into my camera bag. I have a very small camera bag so it doesn't fit much, but I can slip any cards into it (cc, KTTW card, photopass card, FP's, etc.) and maybe a lipstick and my small pill case. A slightly larger camera bag would still be lightweight but able to hold a few more items.

I've found that unless you have diaper-age children with you, you really don't need as much as you think you will while in the parks. Good luck and have fun!
