After we had gone and seen Cats back in the spring, I had put a post up about a possible Lion King meet when it came to Chicago. Tickets are now on sale and I just called and there are no special discounts for group tickets. Tickets range - $30 for Upper Balcony; $47 for Middle Balcony; $64 for Lower Balcony; $80 something for next section; $127 for first 10 rows.

My thought is if we can pick a date that most people can attend we will be responsible for either getting our own tickets or I can try and arrange and get all the tickets at once.

I'd like to try and nail something down before November 1 so that we don't miss out on getting good tickets. I think these are gonna go like hotcakes once people realize it's time!!!!

Give me 3 dates from the list below that you think you can go and I know - these dates are in April and through the summer, but I already have some plans for the summer made.

After we nail a date down we can then work out dinner logistics if we'd like to go have dinner afterward or something! Here is the link to Ticketmaster if you want to check out more info.

Saturday, August 2 @ 2pm - this date depends on if we are back from our Disney cruise!!!

Any Saturday at 2pm or Sunday at 1pm in August or any Sunday at 1pm in September. Ends September 21st.

Since I'm going to coordinate this I put in the dates that we are available.

Please PM me by October 16 and we will see what we can work out. I will post the three most popular dates that have been given to me and we will go from there. I know this is a short date notice but I hope we can get a good crowd wanting to go and we get something together.

Sounds like a lot of fun... way too far out for me to be able to even suggest which dates would work for me if I decide to make that trip. I'll just watch this post and see what people pick and go from there. Thanks for offering to coordinate this though Chris :)

I'm way too far from Chicago as usual, but I've just gotta say that it sounds like an awesome meet. I saw The Lion King when I was in Toronto this summer and it was wonderful. Great idea to coordinate it with a DIS meet, Chris. Have fun!

I'll keep watching and, waiting Chris. I'm certainly not the one to pick a date so far in advance just for myself (and, it would be just myself)! ;)

Anyway, I'll try to keep this 'UP' for you and the others' of us interested but, not committal!

And, thanks for the heads-up! I didn't even know! :o

Wow, $127 for the first 10 rows - I'm surprised they charge more for the tour than they do for Broadway.
Hope you guys have a great time - I know you'll love the show! :)

Any dates are fine for me, Chris, other than late May.

The $127 cost covers seats, a 'commemorative souvenir program', 'exclusive merchandise from The Lion King' and parking.
