day8 day we leave to drive back home but breakfast at chef mickeys 11:10am

Easiest would be to drop the signatures first and see where that leaves you, credit-wise. Drop that second Chef Mickey's. Drop inexpensive 1 TS places - like breakfast and just pay OOP. (Just realized you have ALL character breakfasts, so that won't work generally - maybe Kona lunch to pay OOP).

I'm too lazy to add it up - but how many credits do you need to drop? Start with that, definitely, then take one or a combination of the approaches above.

Well, you can easily drop one of the CRT's since you have it for breakfast and dinner. CRT is 2TS credits.

You also have Chef Mickey's twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner. Drop one of these.

You have both Yachtman's Steakhouse and California Grill which are both 2TS credits.

Do you have children? the California Grill ADR is late if you do.

Will you pay for some extra TS out of pocket? or are you trying to get down to the amount of credits you have?

Drop one CRT, drop Yachtsman, drop dinner at Chef Mickey's but keep breakfast. Drop Tony's and Kona for lunch and just do CS dining. I would also say drop California Grill. You really only need 1 Signature dining experience if you are on doing the regular dining plan. I don't know how many if any you still have to drop. It's late and my brain just doesn't calculate but those are what I what do.

I would drop Akershus and one of the CRT meals. You will still have one princess meal that way.

I would also eliminate Chefs de France because it was the worst meal I've ever had at Disney. It was like boring frozen food from a box quality.

I would pick between breakfast and dinner and only do Chef Mickey's once. If it were me, I would go with the dinner because you have lots of other breakfasts, and in general the food is more similar at the character meals for breakfast than dinner.

are you there 7 nights...if so, you'd get 7 TS credits on the regular dining plan. Do you have a bunch of kids with you...that's a LOT of character meals (way too many, IMHO.) Do ONE Mickey meal, ONE princess meal. Skip the castle, skip Cali & skip Yachtsmans. If this was my schedule, I'd do what's in red below

day 1=Credit 1 on plan night we arrive chef mickeys 7:10pm...will give you Mickey & friends characters
day2= credit 2 dinner crystal palace 5:20pm...will give you Winnie the Pooh & friends then mvmcp
day3=credit 3 dinner ohana 9:30pm...no characters, but fun... but if you do have kids, how will they do with dinner that late?
day4=credit 4 get reservation at Captain's Grill-will get you steak but only one TS (at Yacht club too), or choose an Epcot 1 TS restaurant like Biergarten that's fun & good food
day5 =credit 5get reservation for Kona cafe dinner-easy to get to on monorail for going back & forth to Magic Kingdom, great food & fun resort to visit
day6=credit 6 breakfast akershus 8:35am-keep this if you NEED a princess meal-looks kind of like a castle in there, too so little bit of the "castle" ambiance at 1 TS
day7=credit 7 get reservation for dinner at The Wave (Contemporary, 1 TS) or Grand Floridian Cafe (Grand Flor. also 1 TS) Both restaurants are cool decor, great menus with steaks & adult dishes, without being the 2 TS cost of Cali Grille.
day8, departure day....if your stay is 7 nights, you're out of TS credits. If your stay really is 8 nights, then keep your Chef Mickey's for departure day

Dropping a couple of the signatures would be good. Also Tony's & Kona would be pretty inexpensive to pay for OOP if you only need an entree, so I'd definitely drop those 2 as well and pay for them myself IMO or just use your counter serv for those 2 meals at the parks, and use a snack credit for breakfast food at Main street bakery. Good luck!

I would drop Kona's and Tony's for lunch--easy to make a trade for a counter service lunch. I would drop CRT for dinner for sure--but I would probably drop it for breakfast also. To me, especially if you don't have kids, it's not worth the hype and the extra table credit. Have you considered going to 1900 Park Fare? You said you liked the character meals, and it is one. To us, it is one of the best. It has Cinderella, Prince Charming, Stepmother, and the Stepsisters. They were a HOOT!!!!!! We had a fun time there, and the food was delicious. You might switch from CRT for dinner to 1900 PF for dinner and then that would open up an additional table service for you.
You also need to consider Yachtsman and California Grill because they'll eat up 2 credits each. They're are so many great restaurants at Epcot you could go to instead, such as Le Cellier, Le Chefs, Biergarten, etc. I would also drop Chef Mickey's for dinner, but would keep it for breakfast. I would keep one or two of your favorite breakfasts and ditch the rest to save the credits for dinner.

I think Catne's plan is a great one! I wouldn't go to Akershus for breakfast and would pick a great EPCOT restaurant for lunch or dinner (depending on what is available). Then use CS for the other meal. We have had great meals at Tutto Italia, Chefs (seems to be hit or miss) and Rose & Crown. Of course Le Cellier has always been great for us as well but it is so hard to get.

Id drop at least 1 of the 2 credit meals, switch kona lunch with dinner as they have a great dinner menu and maybe get rid of tonys since that would be 3 ts meals in one day, for me that'd be waaaay too much food! GL with whatever you decide, hope things work out!!

I'd rather drop CRT altogether and do Akershus as it's 1TS credit and you still get the photo package. The food I liked better too.

Personally, I'd cut way back on the character meals and do some counter service, especially for breakfasts, instead. Character breakfasts are more about the characters than the food, so they're not particularly practical if you're hoping to confine your food spending to what the DDP covers.

Day 1 - No change
(1TS credit used)

Day 2 - Cancel Ohana; you can meet Stitch in the park and his lines aren't usually long. Try counter service at Main Street Bakery instead. Keep Crystal Palace.
(1TS credit used)

Day 3 - That Ohana is pretty late, especially if you have kids (and I'm kind of guessing you do by the number of character meals you planned). If you really want Ohana for dinner cancel Cape May, but personally I'd probably look at canceling both and finding an earlier 1 credit dinner in/near my park for the day. A 9pm dinner does not work well with an 8am breakfast the next morning!
(1TS credit used)

Day 4 - This is a day where I'd keep the character breakfast for the early park entry. Cancel Yachtsman; without appetizers it is hard to justify the 2 credit "cost" of signature dining.
(1TS credit used)

Day 5 - I'd cancel CRT; there's no need to do it twice and your other ADR is for a better time. I'd probably cancel Kona too, and make this a day of winging it with counter service and snacks. There are plenty of shareable portions in the MK and wonderful places for snacks, so it is a park that lends itself well to a more "grazing" approach to meals.
(No TS credit used)

Day 6 - I can see two ways this day could work. First would be to keep both, since you didn't have any TS the previous day. The second - and in my opinion the better option - would be to cancel Akershus, try out Sunshine Seasons for breakfast/brunch (one of Disney's best CS in my opinion), and use that saved credit to keep CRT on Day 7 since you've got that coveted pre-opening ADR.
(1TS credit used)

Day 7 - I'd keep CRT for the early morning time. Drop Tony's for sure. If you're willing to pay for one meal out of pocket, this would be the day. CRT is the better use of basic plan credits, particularly since tip is included there, but if you're able to I'd recommend keeping California Grill OOP and maybe sharing apps/desserts to keep the price down.
(2TS credits used)

Day 8 - No need to go to Chef Mickey's twice; you've seen the characters already and the food just isn't that great. Sleep in, swim, and burn up any unused CS and snack credits for breakfast and to-go goodies for the drive home.

I would drop CRT unless you really want to eat at the castle...if you do then drop one and then drop the princess breakfast at Epcot.
Drop 1 CM, Yatchman's and California grill.
I like Cante response

you drop the cinderella's...you drop the yachtsmans...and you drop about half of your character buffets/ cutesy magic kindgom type places (might i recommend canning chef mickeys and tonys immediately)

You have planned quite a few character meals. you could definiately eliminate some of them. TH, Cape May and Chef Mickeys have same characters. Also, CRT and Askerus have same characters.

Here is what you might keep:

Day 1: Chef Mickeys Dinner - 1 credit

Day 2: Crystal Palace Dinner - 1 credit

Day 3: Ohana Dinner - 1 credit
(you may want to try to get a Kona Ressie for a
a little earlier and cancel ohana-it really depends on age of children
and your preference of restuarant. I would rather eat at
Kona. But this is a coveted reservation by many.

Day 4: Tusker House Breakfast - 1 credit
Yachtsmans - Pay OOP

Day 6 Askerus Breakfast - 1 credit

Day 7 California Grill - 2 credit

You could keep your CRT Dinner ressie on Day 5 if you cancel Cali Grill
or you could cancel Yatchmans and pay for Calli Grill OOP. If you keep CRT dinner on Day 5 then you will have a princess dinner followed by a princess breakfast the next morning.

I would not keep Chefs De France - i didnot enjoy my food, it was crowded, and service was good but slow.
