OK computer geeks, I need help with a present PLEASE HELP!

DH just got a iPod touch and me the new nano. Right now to play music on our stereo from our pods we have a jack that hooks into the stereo to our pods. To change the music we have to go to that room and do it, and DH can't use his touch because it is now chained to the stereo.

Would this airport be a good thing? I would like him to be able play his music on the stereo but still be able to use his touch. Does this plug into the computer or the iPod? Is it all wireless, like does the iPod have to be plugged into the airport?

I really don't know what exactly this does and I don't speak computer. (DH does and loves toys) Can someone tell me in normal language?

The stereo would have to be pluged into the airport or stereo has to be able to connect to the airport somehow.

That would be ok, but would there be a wire to the pod or computer?

We really like our airport express. It plays everything on my iTunes through the stereo (you can make up whatever playlists you want). I go directly from my iTunes on my computer to the stereo with the airport express. I play directly through my iPod when it is hooked into my Bose.

So in order to play music wireless you have to use your computer, not your pod?
