allright I have been outvoted in the family reunion ( Oy vey can you feel the unity allready? ;) ) The majority would like to have the family reunion next summer in Chicago.

I need some help!!

I need to know areas, venues ( not huge were talking about 75-100 people I think ) and family friendly activities.
Also best time of year? Were thinking Spring early summer is that a good time to come?

The rest of the family is in Michigan and around there. My family of course is all out West so we will be traveling.

TIA for any help!

BTW when we get this all figured I would love to meet up with you all if youre interested :)

We don't really have much of a Spring in Chicago and early summer is iffy, but better than Spring. If you can swing September or early October, our weather then can be delightful!

My husband has done an architectural boat tour with a group of co-workers and really enjoyed it. There are a number of different opportunities for getting out on the water that can be fun, if your group isn't interested in architecture. The Shedd aquarium is pretty cool. There's an IMAX theatre at Navy Pier and one at the Museum of Science and Industry. There's a Six Flags about an hour north of the city. You can probably get tickets for a group to a White Sox game--the Cubs have been sold out for ages.

Here's a link to the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau website:

Happy planning!

There are some great forest preserves outside of the city as well as some very nice parks within the city, I believe, if you are thinking of doing something like that.

My husband's family had a reunion a few years ago (and we had more than 100 people there) at Williams Bay, WI at the university location up there (connected with Aurora University in IL). It was great. And it's not far from Chicago as well.
