Tell me all the wonderful things about the Swan. I have just made reservations to stay there January 10th-13th using the nurses' rate. Tell me all the ins and outs of the resort. What do you love? What do you not love?Tips and hints???? Thanks!

Wow I don't know of anything negative or that you wouldn't like about the Swan or Dolphin! I will say I've stayed at both and like the Dolphin better because its bigger...LOL! There are just as many people (Dan I know) who like the Swan for the littler aspect. These two hotels are wonderful! They are so conveinent to MGM and Epcot and the busses are wonderful. The Boardwalk is right there within walking distance. The majority of the rooms have gorgeous views and some have balconies. They are just super resorts! The grotto pool is wonderful!!! Do you have any specific questions? We have stayed 3 times in 2 years now.

No specific questions...just tell me a little about them. How are the rooms decorated? Are the rooms spacious? What is the pool area like? Are there anylittle hidden scerets or cool things about the resorts? A little hideaway place to go see, a nice path to walk, anything like that?

At the nurses' rate, they could become my new favorite resorts!

The gift store is worth a visit, lots of stock.....no crowds ! You can also drop off film to be developed .

Are you a runner, Disney Doll?

You DO realize, don't you, that you will be in the midst of 16,000 runners there for the Walt Disney World Marathon and Half-Marathon on January 12, 2003.

We will be there, and staying in the Swan as well. DH and brother-in-law will be running. Happens to be brother-in-law's 40th birthday, so he is eager to run as a "master" (over 40). Maybe we will run into you!

As you can tell from my sugnature, I love the Swan! :teeth:

As Dan said, try for a "heavenly" bed. Even if you don't swim, go explore around the pool areas. The landscaping is beautiful. They have several hot tubs hidden around behind the grotto pool. If they are still working, I have some picture links in my signature. Be sure and visit the Dolphin as well. :)

Lots of info on the Swan and Dolphin FAQ located on the resort board....click on the link in my signature. I hope you have a great time.

It's a great place!!! Here are some reasons my family likes the Dolphin:

1. Location
2. The pool is fantastic
3. The boat transportation
4. The grandeur of the place
5. Our room and the hallway is so quiet
6. The staff is very friendly

I can't think of one thing I didn't like about the place!

Enjoy!!

we just loved it.....The boat transportation to Epcot and MGM is just fantastic...or if you are not totally Disneyed out....walk the walkway to both....the busses are never overly crowded to go to MK or AK....we had one of the new mattresses this past trip Labor Day and it was just Heavenly...and I have been on a water bed for 22 years....the staff in my opinion were just outstanding.....the workers for Tubbies were so fun and they would remember that my husband had a made to order omelet every day and I had the tubbies special......now that is neat..just a wonderful experience.....have fun

Actually Deb, I am not a runner, but two folks in the group we are travelling with are runners, and will be participating in the marathon, so it's probably good that we are right there where the action is!

As always, Dan, your pictures make me feel like I am right there! Thanks everyone!!!!!!!!!!!
