Hi, I have a question about the Lincoln Center area. My daughter is graduating from Manhattanville college which is in purchase NY a year early. So she is 20yrs old. She got accepted into the graduate program at Fordham college which is based in Lincoln Center. The program runs M-T 4pm -9pm. She is thrilled! She will be living in Rye NY with some friends who will still be going to Manhatannville college. I want to be happy for her but I'm so worried. Every school night she will get out of school at 9pm and walk 2 blocks to subway and go to grandcental station where she will take the Metro North to Rye NY. I know this doesn't have anything to do with it but she is such a peanut. she is 4'10 inches and looks around 15 years old. When I voiced my concerns she said "What should I never do anything in life because of fear? I really want to do this and I'll be OK." What do you think? Is this area safe and busy around 9pm. :confused3 Thanks.

Very busy, very safe. She'll be ok :goodvibes .

She must be so excited!

She'll be fine. I've walked around that area by myself numerous times and have never felt unsafe. At 9PM there is usually still a good amount of people around so she won't be so 'alone' if that makes you feel better :)

She'll be fine, no worries. Plus, the subway ride is a quick one.

And I have to say, I gotta love her spunkiness!

She'll be fine! That is a nice area and 9PM is not considered late there. Also, Grand Central and Metro North are good. My DH works in Rye; very nice area!

Just had to post b/c my uncle is a professor at Fordham :) He loves the area..

My old employer had an office near Lincoln Center, its a really nice area. I wouldn't worry, she will be fine.

Thanks Rick, This is what I love about her too, if only I didn't worry so much :teeth: I see you are leaving for vacation tomorrow. :wave2: Have a magical trip, I can't wait to read your trip report when you get back!
