Ok, so I think I'm set for Friday...but, I have a few questions. They're in bold below -

1.) Avoid throwing cell phone across the room when the alarm goes off at 4:45am
2.) Avoid sharp corners on my way to the lap top
3.) Open the WDW dining site and hope the WDW gods are smiling down on me so that it'll recognize my ressie number, and open multiple tabs on my browser (This works in IE and not just Firefox, correct?)
4.) Make ADRs, and avoid weeping like a 5-year old from lack of sleep if I can not get what we want for this special, special trip
5.) Check confirmations (Do you get a number as soon as you hit submit? Or, is it all emailed to you? Do I need to enter my email address, or is it just the one already associated with my reservation?)
6.) Dance, joyously, throughout the house until DH is even more convinced I'm nuts (from too much WDW planning)

Ok, so...anyone have any advice on my few questions?

It's almost time; it's almost time! :cool1::cool1:

Thanks!!

1.) Check!
2.) Check!
3.) Check! (Don't know the answer to your IE question.)
4.) Check...but have Kleenex handy, just in case.
5.) You will get confirmation numbers once you complete the entire reservation process. This includes inputting the date/location, choosing from the available times, getting all of your ADRs in your cart and checking out. You will also get an email confirmation.
6.) Check and double check!

Good luck! I did it last week and had no problem getting exactly what I wanted...and that was for Thanksgiving week. And remember, if you don't get something at first keep checking back. Cancellations happen all the time.

Hehe; thanks so much for the encouragement!

As for Kleenex, I'll just use DH's sleeve (doing my part in the Go Green! movement) as you can bet I'm making him sit there with me. If he's eating this food, he's helping! :lmao:

Hopefully you'll be weeping tears of joy & not frustration! I found the online process AWESOME and we were able to get everything we wanted -- only one thing didn't line up after the Dec hours came out, but we were able to switch things around, get EVERYTHING we wanted, just one thing isn't at the right time, so we'll try to fix that later. Had I known Dec hours, I would have gotten everything perfectly!!

Don't forget to plan to call at 7 if you want CRT (in case they want to charge your card like they did mine) or a Fantasmic or Candlelight Processional package :)

Good luck!

I am glad I am not the only one whose DH thinks they are crazy! We are staying off property so I have been getting up every morning at 3:45 (we live in Colorado) to book out ADRs. He will understand when he sees the kids' faces light up at CRT and CM!!! ::MickeyMo

That doesn't make you crazy; it makes you an awesome mom!!

Thanks so much for the encouraging words! This is a really special trip for us, so I'm trying to fit in everything I can.

Luckily, we aren't doing CRT this time around (first time, ever..I think), and no Fantasmic or CP packages. We're going to wing it and hope we can go in to those on stand-by.

DH will just be glad when it's over. He comes home from work, and I've had a new chart full of ideas and plans every night this week. Last night, I think I blinded him with the highlighting. Ops..

IE 7.0 and 8.0 both allow for tabbed browsing, so it should work just fine. If unsure of the version, click Help in the menu bar up top, then About Internet Explorer (or something similar) and it should tell you there. (Or, if you have the option to open up another tab, then you at least have 7.0 ;))

Just make sure you print off the e-mail as soon as you get it.

Some other people have noted they tried to go into their package reservation and expected to see their ressies tied to the room/package reservation.

If you go to check your dining reservations on the webpage, it will ask you for the confirmation no.

I should also add - be open minded.

For Prime Time 50's Cafe, there was no 5:30 seating available - I was suggested either 4:30 at Prime Time or 5:30 pm at Sci-Fi. I felt the experience was more important to me then the time.

And I also tried to book CP at MK for the night with the EMH evening hours. Nothing available. So it suggested a bit later time (7:00 pm) for GF 1900 Park Fare - I would have never even thought of that. I was thrilled because as soon as we finish dinner, we will be able to watch the fireworks from there!

Good luck.

Just be sure to ask, or enter in, your most popular choices first!!! Like Le Cellier, CRT, Chef Mickey's, etc. Good luck!!!:goodvibes
