Hi there,
Just wanted to update you on what is happening here in Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach - as you well know our Publix (which is approx. 2 miles South of the Radisson) opened on the 11th of November - the strip mall they built will have a number of shops - Beef O' Grady just opened up there, they are also opening a nail shop called Diva's and there is going to be assorted other small restaurants there - Doubltree Hotel is opening up January 1st and the Hilton opened up last week tho the restaurant where they have the great seafood buffet on Friday won't be opened for a few months more - the hotels are trying to get back to normal as soon as possible - the new one right by Ron Jon's is opening up sometime in April around Spring Break - it will be a Sheridan line but still owned by the same person that owns the Radisson and Quality Suites - its going to have a gift shop and looks like some neat rooms - they will be providing free parking on different levels on their already there parking areas - they are about 1 block from the beach - you know I was given the name, but I left it at work - we are still suffering from the effects of the hurricanes - many are still not back to work, many still have blue tars for roofs, many are still waiting for life to get back to normal and many are doing everything possible to make it happen -(We are super blessed after seeing what Asia experienced) - anyhow we have Mr. Cubanos which is located 2 doors down from the shop that will be opening up within a couple of weeks - just seeing the stuff the owner Tony has put up on the walls in reference to Cuba, is worth stopping in - my gosh it is all orginial stuff and awesome - to boot excellent food - we have a new restaurant that just opened where Crab Heaven use to be which is about 3/4 of a mile South of the Radisson - I know it's a steak and seafood place - as soon as I go by there today, will get the name and post it - there is a lot of construction going on in Cape Canaveral - my gosh when I came here years ago, I could drive for miles and be lucky if I passed a car once in a while - I remember Cape Canaveral was known as the arm pit of Brevard County, but I guess she fooled everyone - anyhow the beaches are still in great need of sanding - that will happen sometime this spring - now I am going to keep this thread up to date for the next few days and let you know what is happening here - if you need any help, just give me a call at the shopok.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY ------AND MAY 2005 REALLY BE A WONDERFUL AND MAGICAL YEAR FOR ALL.
Much love
always
