OK....a couple of questions...I need help....

Hello all....it's me again.....we are cruising on May 10th Western with a lot of fabulous DISboarders....and we finally got a cabin assignment...happily they upgraded us from a category 6 to a category 4....we are obviously very happy.....my question is this....and it has come more from my wife than me....but I am interested also...when we check in...and we request an upgrade to a category 3 do we have to pay the difference from a category 6 which was what we origionally paid for or a category 4 to a category 3....and what do you think it would cost to move up the 1 category. I know it is a big jump....and what can we expect from a category 3 that is different from 4 besides a larger cabin? This is going to be the vacation of a lifetime....and I want to make it as special as we can....we lost our cruise on 11/30 so this is going to be the most"MAGIC"al cruise yet.

P.S. Would it be smart to call now and see about the upgrade or wait until we check in? We are cruising for the 4th year in a row....and by the way...what is the castaway club gift this year?

Tom,
I asked a similar question before about paying the difference between what you paid or what you were upgraded to and the better category. I was told by a moderator that I would have to pay the difference between what I paid and the better category. As far as trying to upgrade to a cat. 3 or 1, I would definately call your TA to see if one is available. As I am sure you know, there are only two cat. 1 rooms and they sell out very quickly. You will have better luck with a cat. 3 since there are more of them, but they sell out pretty fast too. Doesn't hurt to try though!

I have my fingers crossed that we're upgraded from a 6 to a 4 on the 11/8 cruise. Feel like Ive been waiting forever - 11months then another 12months
And yes I have joined up with another group which sounds like a fun bunch of DISers

I'm glad to hear you rebooked. We too were on the 11/30 cruise (or should I say NOT ON). We are the large group of 21 people, who, like you, experienced many emotions during that turbulent time. I hope your trip is amazing. We are going the week after you . That's right. All 21 of us are going! Hooray! If you can, post while on board to let me know it was worth the double wait.

Hello all....just called DCL to inquire on how much it would cost to upgrade from a 4 to a 3....and there is 1 cabin available...and it would only be $1600. additional to move up 1 category....so I must tell you how pleased I am to remain in my category 4...I could book another cruise for that kind of money....but eagerly awaiting May 10th.....talk to you all soon!
