Sad, as bottom line wins again.

Personally I think the poster should have kept the opinion about the word "alert" to themselves while the rest of us were left to discuss the alert. In my case the alert was timely, and I'm glad the alert was posted and that the word "alert" was used because it alerted me to the fact that this was an alert, and not just a discussion about how the yogurt tasted. So I thank the OP for the alert!
You are totally welcome! My intent was to help others who might be suffering as I was, not to provide a lesson in appropriate vocabulary, but I was not about to be called "silly" when so many people have benefited from this thread. I only wish someone had told me, to be honest the symptoms I had were very similar to colon cancer. Thanks for your support.Personally I think the poster should have kept the opinion about the word "alert" to themselves while the rest of us were left to discuss the alert. I am going to write a letter to the company asking them to put a notice on the package.
So now knowing that I will call them and write a letter! My friend who pointed out the use of chicory in the yogurt wrote a letter to them in about March. Their response - they sent her coupons for free Triple Zero Yogurt. Not kidding.
Please let me know if you hear back from them!
OP - not sure why you were eating Triple Zero but a quick comparison shows it does not have any fewer calories than the regular kind (give or take a few; depending on the flavour). Regular or low-fat doesn't have any fibre but since that's what is "messing you up", why not just try without it? FWIW - I absolutely LOVE Oikos - it's a pretty good use of 120 calories IMO. Glad to hear you're feeling better.![]()

What did she say? I mean, in general, there's nothing wrong with chicory and it is a source of added fiber in many foods (Fiber One bars come to mind first). There's nothing wrong with it and it's not bad for you so what did she want them to do about it?
It also has Stevia, which also causes problems for me. I loved the Triple Zero but it hated me.
She didn't want anything. She wrote to say how much she liked the taste of yogurt but because of the chicory, she couldn't eat it because of the issues it causes for her and many others. Their response was to send her coupons for free Triple Zero. We thought it was hilarious.
Chicory isn't needed. They don't need to add it to the yogurt.
