61 Days to Go!!

There are more announcements coming April 8, could be about this meetup or upcoming dates, so stay tuned! I really need to get myself in gear on planning, booking our hotel for the drive down, making reservations for dinner, buying sunscreen us pale peeps need lots! I need to find the kids wands, get our lanyards, AP’s, and such gathered as well.

What is something you have not done at USO? For us it is the Animal Actors show, so its on my to see list this time around!

If you go on youtube and search for meetup speakeasy 2019 I think it is, you'll find some vlogs from some of the youtubers that go often. My favs are SuperEnthused, she usually does a pretty good job of showing and talking about the events.

Just watch on Youtube........too cute!!! Looks like fun but, guess not for the kids =(
I watched SuperEnthused (seen her videos before & she does do a good job)....also watched Orlando Extra & it was good too.

Well, I thought after the cruise would be 2 months of fun planning for Universal..........but, nope....now I'm in search of a 10+ bedroom cabin around Gatlinburg for last week of July. Sadly, there is a wild fire happening & found out today, the cabin we had reserved, is no longer there. I'm so sad for the people affected in that area.
I doubt we will find 1 in our price range........may start looking in North GA or NC mountains.

oh well, at least all the major planning for Universal is done!!!

I hear you on the sunscreen! I'm a redhead which is all you need to know about me and sunburns. LOL My daughter, who isn't a redhead, still burns pretty quickly. The last 2 times we were in FL she got SO sunburned from beach/pool days that she was absolutely miserable the rest of the trip. We're not letting that happen this time!

We've never done Animal Actors, Fallon, or Fast and Furious. Not sure any of them are top of my list, though I would say Animal Actors might be good to give the feet a break. The other two...meh.

DH and I bough new walking shoes yesterday. I walk a lot for exercise anyway, but figured they'd come in handy for FL as well. While we were at the running shoe store, we mentioned that we needed shoes for a trip where we'd be doing a lot of walking. The couple next to us asked where we were going because they were there for the same reason. Turns out they were going to FL too, but Disney. Ha!

56 days until we leave on our trip (we have a couple extra days before the meetup at the beach). Can't wait!!

Well the good thing is that kids can go into the speakeasy, they just can't get the alcoholic drinks. I plan to take my 2 kiddos in! There will be characters and music and fun, so I am sure they will still have a great time. We may not spend a ton of time in there but I think it's awesome to get to experience it

Yep us blondies have to be careful too! Thankfully we have been fairly lucky in our recent visits and had very minimal burns. We slather it on every morning and when we take breaks as well. I carry some into the parks too so we can reapply as needed. My kids usually wear a hat too so that helps a bit.

Fallon was much better than I anticipated. My younger one, loves it, she'll ride like 5 times each time we come LOL F&F is a one time each trip for me, it's great for getting out of the heat and into a/c! I mean it's so corny it's funny. I think you should do it once, esp if it is walk on. I wouldn't wait on it lol

I think I need to get another pair of shoes as well. I am having some issues with Achilles heel tendonitis I think it is and it hurts so bad when I walk a lot with the wrong shoes! I ice it a lot and usually it eases off a bit, but shoes that are too rigid on the heel hurt! I am trying to not to have surgery. We are at 58 days til we leave and that's straight there but I sure wish I was hitting the beach for a few days! I am still thinking maybe for fall break. We shall see how my school and work schedule is though.

good to know...yes, we will try it. In the videos, it didn't look like kids were in there. They will both be 14 so, I'm sure they get a kick out of it.

Oh that is terrible! I must be under a rock, I didn't hear about the fires. I hope you can find one, did you try vrbo? or was that who you were using?

Not sure why it's not all over the news, this time. We've gone so long, we've booked through all different sites, resorts, vrbo, etc....

We'll find something. May need to move out of that area or we have had to do separate cabins/next to each other. As long as we get together, that's the important part.
but, I will start searching for next year soon, too!! but, taking time to enjoy planning the Universal trip, too. starting to order tshirts for the girls to wear!!

Has anyone had experience renting a wheelchair in the late afternoon during an OI Meetup? Are they usually still available in the late afternoon? I assume a team member will still be there at City Walk at the end of the event to return the wheelchair?

Has anyone had experience renting a wheelchair I the late afternoon during an OI Meetup? Are they usually still available in the late afternoon? I assume a team member will still be there at City Walk at the end of the event to return the wheelchair?

I do not but I imagine there will be some available, City Walk is open past the meetup time, so I assume there would be a TM there for returns.

My hubby purchased them for us today! I was at work when the dropped and in a meeting to boot lol but I love the design and the shirt in Dec was comfy. I do wish they would offer more options, I mean esp since they are pre-order!

Just got an email that the next round of meet-up dates is coming on April 15. Glad they are releasing them before Southwest releases their Dec flights.
