OhioTony & Crew 6 days @ POP! part 2

Our Cast--Me, DW, DS 12 & DD 10..our 3rd trip. And, our 2, 1st time Dis-er Nieces 15 & 12.
2 rooms @ POP Century. We were given 50’s section 4th floor facing the bowling pin pool.
All of us on the free dinning plan.




DAY 1 MAGIC KINGDOM! Monday

WHOOOSH!…What the hell was that? Oh it’s the built in alarm system at POP to ensure you don’t oversleep and miss out on the early entry day! It would be the commodes I’m referring to and yes the rumors are true! Them R some mighty powerful potties! I lay there for 15 min and then the phone rang. To my son’s delight it was Stitch telling him “No more sleeping”. They love the wake up calls. We had both rooms shower the night before to move things along in the AM. Also we brought our 4 cup coffee maker and it had our Cup-o-Joe & fruit bars in the room, and headed out the doors in no time!

The MK bus line was 3 rows deep with a line of wheelchairs which adds 10 minutes to the loading times and assures that u will be standing! It took us about an hour to get to the MK, but its all worth it when you walk through that tunnel and get your first shot at that castle! I know any smart dis-er will tell you to avoid the MK weekends & Mondays, but THAT is where our newbees wanted to start. The finger scan thingy went pretty smooth for us but I did notice that the parks were more crowded than on our past trips ( all our vacations are the last week of Sept). Also the weather was a bit hot for Sept as well!

We took in Main St and made out way to Stitch to appease my son, who the night before had purchased Stitch ears & hands and wore them with pride. He loved the x-tra attention he got out of it ! We missed the Stitch opening last year and I wasn’t overly impressed! We hit all the Biggs in Tomorrowland and skipped across to Fronteerland. Even with the crowds most wait times were listed at 20 min and actually loaded faster. Around 1:30 we went to out 1st TS at CRT. Every body loved the food and the Princesses were great, although DW was a little disappointed in the Fairy Godmother! Everyone left stuffed! Around 3:00 the newbees were wearing down, so we went back to POP. They napped while we hit the pool.

“TALES OF THE BLUE SLUSHEE”
It was here I acquired our lovely POP mugs for one purpose, the famous & elusive BLUE SLUSHEE! Shiny new mugs in hand I approached the deliverer of blue goo and noticed a large line of “mug-kids” and the machine didn’t look THAT big! I quickly devised a plan ….”hey kids, there’s some lady handing out free trading pins in the lobby”! pitter patter..pitter patter …. YES ! New mugs full of blue slushee..Triumphantly I strolled back to the pool.



6:00 we head back to the MK to catch Spectro & Wishes..another long bus & wheelchair line! We got to our “super secret” spot round 7:40 and to our surprise it was open! We procured fruit topped funnel cakes and thoroughly enjoyed both shows. The newbees were awestruck!
Upon leaving the MK I was awestruck by the flippin line at the bus stop! DANG!
Aslo, we realized we never used our CS credits for the day! And nobody was hungry.. Day 1 & already behind!

Finally back at out room, we showered & fell asleep to the sound of screaming kids at the pool, and their parents yelling at the top of their lungs “BE QUIET” “People might be tryin to sleep”

I realize that as long we are totally exhausted we will all get to sleep just fine!

it is true.....the minute your heads hits the pillows ....SLEEP........even with 26 years in a water bed......the bed is like sheer bliss to us......SLEEP.....thanks so much for your report.......sounds like the newbies are having fun too.....
