Ok so I have been fortunate enough to have visited Eurodisney a few times now.

This next trip however is even more special as I will have my kids for the first time in five years at Christmas. Their mum and I split five years ago. I have Aj term time and she has him for the holidays, which up until this year means Christmas.

So to make it extra special I booked us into Eurodisney from the 23rd - 26th December. I have two step children I have raised for the past 10 years as my own.

So we are booked into Hotel New York this time rather then Sequoia Lodge which we have stayed at every trip so far.

Any advice on the hotel would be greatly received. I have booked plaza rooms which I gather overlook the lake. However I am sure i read or maybe saw a video on you tube that some of the rooms have a view of the park (albeit a distant one).

Has anyone stayed in a room that has a park view..? Would you recommend it over a lakeside view room..?

Also any tips on restaurants that would be good value for money over the Christmas period as we usually go meals included so don't need to worry about the cost etc. However as it's christmas this option isn't included.

waves hello

I have also just booked Hotel New York, but I am going in February. I have booked a Plaza View Room too, so I will be interested in reading your thoughts when you come back.

As far as I can find, the Plaza View Rooms are more sought after than the back of the hotel. I have seen some photos here on Dis and other places of the rooms from the back of the hotel. Most of the rooms overlook the carpark. Space Mountain and in the far distance The Castle ARE visible but only from some rooms and only over the tops of the trees in the higher up rooms.

Some tips I have found so far
Breakfast is the same cold buffet as Sequoia Lodge with the addition of hot sausage, hot bacon and hot scrambled eggs
Breakfast is at two locations, The Manhattan Restaurant is at the end of the hall and is smaller and quieter.

I stayed at Sequoia Lodge 23 to 27 December 2013
We booked the Special Christmas Day Meal at Manhattan Restaurant. It was a Character Buffet Fine Dining Meal and well worth the money. I think it was €60 per adult. If you want more info on that , the menu etc just let me know. I would check out what is available for this year.

Also those days in the park are peak capacity and the crowds will be huge. Christmas Eve is the main day in France so locals stay at home and come to the park on Christmas Day instead. Christmas Day and December 26 in the parks were very very crowded.

We booked Blue Lagoon on December 26, our server said the restaurant was full and they were not accepting walk ins , so I would recommend you book at least one restaurant for each day of your visit.

The park closed at 10pm each night, people stared getting places for Dreams from 9pm. Its cold at night waiting for Dreams so wrap up warm.
