We are in the processing of pulling our eating plans together for our December trip to Disney and WL. I was reading the review for O'Hana's (Poly) at ALL Ears.net. Deb gave the restaurant a less than favorable review, with respect to food quality.

O'Hana's was one of the restaurants we were planning to visit. Does anyone think there might be better options? If anyone has eaten at O'Hana's and also read this review can you comment? Would Kona's (Poly) be better or perhaps Artists Point at WL? Thanks for any help!!:wave2:

I love Kona for lunch and Ohana for dinner.

You'll see that Ohana is one place that gets consistently good reviews here on the DIS and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Another vote for Ohana's. We just ate there last week and it was very good once again. I always try and ask for a table by the window. It's worth waiting for. The view is awesome!!! Never had bad food or bad service. One of my personal fav's.

Another big thumbs up for Ohana here. As mentioned above, Ive seen mostly favorable reviews here.

I had my birthday dinner at Ohana (Hawaiian concept of family, not an Irish surname ;) ) this week and was quite impressed. The sides were all fresh and tasty, and the steak and turkey were both quite good. I love shrimp, but they were a bit too spicy for me. I wish I had been able to eat more. One of the pleasant surprises was the pineapple coconut bread they start you out with (I don't usually like coconut, but the flavor was light and sweet). My vegetarian friend was very pleased with what she was served (they usually do tempura veggies and tofu, but she asked to have the veggies and tofu grilled instead and Chef Peter was very accomodating.) A very cheerful man with a ukulele came to the table and sang happy birthday to me.
I thought it was odd for them to serve turkey, but it turned out to be the most moist and flavorful meat they offered.

I love the Debs site and all, BUT `OHANA IS THE BEST!!! The food... mMmM good! It has the best BBQ meats ever. You really need to go!::MickeyMo

O'Hana is great, there's another thread going on about it on this board.

But, I also have to give a thumbs up for AP, that's one of our favs at WDW, the Cedar Plank Salmon is out of this world.

Two VERY DIFFERENT restaurants on two very different ends of the spectrum!! I highly recommend BOTH!!

We were there the last week of April and it was my favorite and my husbands 2nd favorite, his first choice was Boma. Well worth the trip.::yes::

Ohana's and Boma ROCK!:rockband:

We love 'Ohana. the the food is very good and the kdis activities are great

We love 'Ohana! The food is excellent (just make sure you go on an empty stomach) and the atmosphere is great. Try some of the tropical drinks - the Poly makes the best on property. Watch out for rolling coconuts and crazy hula hoops!

We had an excellent dinner at 'Ohana in May. I didn't try the pork, but the steak was good, the shrimp was good (except peeling it), and the turkey was excellent. We really enjoyed the side dishes as well.

The only thing we didn't really like was the woman who taught the kids the hula and had the hula hoop "contest." We couldn't wait until she stopped singing! The kids got a kick out of her, though, and my daughter was thrilled to be able to carry her ukelele. My father made comments about her for the rest of the trip. It wasn't absolutely horrible, and it's humorous to remember.

We've eaten at Ohanas twice. It has been a great meal both times. We are eating there for a third time for mine and my daughter's birthday on June 4th. Haven't done every single place to eat yet, but Ohanas and Boma are my two favorites of all the ones we've done.

O'Hana is one of our "don't miss" restaurants for every trip! We love the sticky wings and the wontons. The appetizers alone are worth the price. We love it!

We also love 'Ohana. I will admit when they first opened we had a few meals there that were OK, nothing terrible but not wonderful either. So, we stopped going for a couple of years; then went back because we had WDW newbies with us that really wanted to try 'Ohana. Were we ever glad we did! It had greatly improved over the years, it is now one of favorite WDW restaurants!

O'Hana is the best meal we have had in WDW in 7 trips. We kick ourselves for not trying it earlier.
Definitely come hungry!

We LOVE Ohana's and it's now our official birthday/anniversary/anything occasion restraunt. We celebrated DFiance's B-day there in Feb along with our first anniversary and then our goddaughter's B-Days there this past April. If you do a celebration they also have VERY good B-Day cake, you have to ask for this, or they will normally bring out a cupcake. We plan on taking DFiance's niece there for her 7th b-day next month. It's well worth the money, we eat more than the price in shrimp and those wonton's each time.
