I have a adr for Ohanas for 5 and I called to increase it to a prty of 7. The CM on the dining line said no. Eveytime we go to Ohanas we are put at a large table that looks to seat 8. Why do you think they will not allow us to add 2 more on? Do the large tables seat 6 or 8? My cousin just planned a last minute trip and we wanted them to dine with us. I can't miss ohanas it is my magical place. Any advice?

They only have so many reservations available for so many people and they must be at their limit. They're not working off the size of the particular table you may be sat at but how many the place can hold. The CM has no control over how the computer db works and can't change the rules/numbers. My advice would be to call everyday and see if someone has cancelled which allows for you to change yours.

try to book a table for 2 close to the same time...then ask to sit together.

we've also had luck arriving at the restaurant and adding one (but not two)

good luck

Great ideas! I will try them both. We always go to Ohanas our first night and it is my happy place. My dd dresses up and loves to hula dance. I get my Island sunset drink and I am in heaven.

If you cannot get another reservation I would try this (it has worked for us twice but maybe we were lucky);

We showed up with the extra people (we were a party of 5 then added 2) and told them we had some unexpected company.... they said fine but it might take longer to seat us and they would have to stuff an extra chair onto our 6 person table they had us seated at. It only took about 10 extra minutes. As I said it happened twice for trip we had the extra people without a problem but sometimes different cast members handle things differently.

call again, they should be able to work something out. when we were "suprised" with family members, which I had been informed about earlier in the week so that i could add onto our table at cape may, i called explained the situation, and they said no problem, but we would have to wait about 15 extra minutes to pull some seats from other tables, i do believe we were sitting a table for 5 with 7, but you know we made it work and so didn't disney. The cast member might not have been a magical day

This is what we did! We had an ADR for 6 and then wanted to add 3 more - they said "We already have you at a table for 6". We got another ADR for 3 people it was about a half an hour from the first ADR - but we all arrived at the restaurant a little early for the first ADR. And we explained to the host at Ohana what we wanted to do - he was VERY accomodating!

The CM's doing the phone reservations don't have a lot of flexibility - the actual restaurant can be more flexible.
