Which has the better dinner? We will be going w/ our ds3 who will eat either a hot dog or grilled cheese or pizza from kids menu. We are staying at Poly but wanted to check out Wilderness Lodge so we thought we could eat over there...suggestions??

To me, O'hana hands down, no question about it.

Ohanas!!!!! Never ate at WC so I can't compare it to that but just eat at Ohanas!

I'd go for WCC with children. We ate at both when we visited in October/November last year. Ohanas was lovely, both children HATED the starters (and neither are particularly picky eaters). The salad was ok for them and the chicken wings but they disliked the rest. They both liked the meat and potatoes (which have now gone) but didn't like the bread and butter pudding!!! The two adults in our party really enjoyed it all but admittedly the choice is limited.

At WCC we all chose our different starters, for main course we all had the skillet (chicken, ribs, beans, corn etc) which the kids loved and for dessert the adults had lots of choice but we were too full!!! The children had worms in dirt but could have chosen other items too.

We really liked Ohanas though and we're going to try breakfast there instead of dinner this time.

we ate at both last week and we loved whispering canyon. The food at Poly was ok. The hawaiian girl annoyed the crap out of me, but the kids loved it. I personally would do WC but they were both very nice. It won't be too much of a hassle for you either way since you are staying at Poly. I would say Poly for ultimate convenience, but it's a quick ride on the monorail and then hop on the boat to WC. Both places have a lot of kid interaction that is cute and fun!

We love them both and do both every trip, but for hands down best meal its definitely O'hana!

For me I would say Ohana's is the best choice. However, going by what you said about your ds liking I would say your best choice for your family would be Whispering Canyon. :) Enjoy!

Definitely 'Ohana but it isn't fair for me to judge as we haven't eaten at Whispering Canyon.

And people, people, people. It is neither Irish (O'Hana) or plural ('Ohanas) and certainly not both (O'Hanas).:rotfl2:

I have never eaten at Ohanas, but the Whispering Canyon is my favorite Disney restaurant. We ordered the family bbq skillet when we went and loved it. My kids loved the chicken, links, corn, and salad that came in it. We had so much fun and laughed so much, I have no idea how we managed to eat anything.

Sorry I love O'Hanas. They do fun things with the kids when you are there too. There's the hula lesson, the coconut races, then you can watch the fireworks from your seat if you time your ADR just right.

Whispering Canyon can be REALLY loud and for a 3yo, it might be too much that time of night after a busy day.
