Which one has better entertainment and which one has better food?

We are a party of 13; ranging from 2 to 60 years old.

I think Ohana is better both ways. The food is fantastic and the entertain is fun too! I love the hula lessons! Also at most tables the view of the Magic Kingdom is an added plus!

I agree with Soarin_over_nj. Ohana is the better restaurant especially if you like the old school "Polynesian" style of American-Asian food. It reminds me of the "Dragon Inns" that were around north Jersey in the 60s/70s.

That said, if you want to check out the Wilderness Lodge (and I think everyone should at least once), it's nice to tie a visit to the Lodge with a meal at WCC.

No contest in my mind. Ohana has far better food, far better entertainment, far better ambiance, far better service, etc.

Ohana was one of our family's favorite meals on our last trip to WDW and WCC was by far our least favorite (the only restaurant we didn't like, in fact).

We love both places. The food is very good at both. Different types of entertainment though. Ohana is more entertainment persay, while WCC's entertainment comes in the way the staff interacts with you. I wouldn't call theirs entertainment, more of an atmospherre.

Also the food while good at both is very different. Ohana you get the all you can eat family style meal....no other choices. While at WCC there is a menu to compliment the all you can eat bbq skillet.

Either way you won't go wrong.

Are you talking about breakfast or dinner? If dinner, then for a group that big, I'd say WCC. There is alot more variety in what you can order. Chances are pretty good with that many people that there will be several who don't like what is offered on Ohana's menu, especially if they are not big meat eaters.

Food-wise they are both equally poor.

Entertainment-wise, 'Ohana has the edge since there really isn't any entertainment at WCC, just some stunts that the wait staff pulls.

Definitely Ohana for BOTH. We really enjoy the relaxed vibe and the food is fantastic. My family didn't care for the food at WCC all that much...and honestly, I feel like sometimes the "entertainment" is more annoying and in your face than fun. Don't get me wrong, most people really enjoy the interaction with the CM's at WCC. My family prefers to be relax, eat and enjoy each other's company. if the kids want to participate in the coconut races and that sort of thing, they can. If they don't it's not called to the attention of the entire restaurant. We're kinda reserved that way. :)

We usually do Ohana twice...breakfast and dinner!:goodvibes

This could be my post. You're not my DH in disguise, right? Pretending you're from Iowa?

Ha! Could be, since my DW grew up just up the river in Duchess County!

We like to say that we're in self-imposed (and actually pretty happy) exile here in Iowa. We moved from Boston a couple of years ago...

I would pick 'Ohana!!! Actually I would pick anything over WCC. We only dined there once, but I thought the food was terrible. I even did not feel to great afterwards. Maybe it was just an off night, not sure...but I know I won't be going back. 'Ohana is fun, and while I think it is not as good as it used to be, we still enjoy going from time to time.

I would also pick Ohanas. I think the food is slightly better and the atmosphere is better too. It's less rowdy in my opinion which I like a little better.

We have eaten at WCC twice and loved it! The skillet meal was yummy and found to our service to be great both times. You have a large crowd with a variety of ages so there is a lot of fun and games for everyone. We have had breakfast and dinner at Ohana and enjoyed both. My only complaint about Ohana is that it takes so long to eat there. The food comes out in shifts and it seems to take forever to get all of your meat choices since someone is bringing each skewer around. THis can be a problem if you have some impatient little ones around who are ready to go out and have some fun. The food was good though.

We've only tried Wispering Canyon Cafe. None of us we're impressed with the skillet. The food was really poor. My 5 year old at the time had a blast with the games and running around, but we will not return.

Wow - I don't even think of O'hana and entertainment in same thought. Yeah, whatsherface plays her ukelele and they do some coconut nut broom thing and a line dance. But I've much preferred the "entertainment" at WCC. Of course. I like 50s "entertainment" too.

I guess I am in the minority. We use to go to Ohana's every trip, but now refuse to go anymore. The food comes out way too salty and the service has gotten worse.:confused3. For all the Ohana fans, you have one less person to compete with getting reservations. We also like WCC, but it is not a place that we have a must do for our trips either.

They both are hit or miss; Ohana's is fine, but the food is really not that great. WC is just too much fuss.

'Ohana, definitely. The food at WCC IMO was terrible, the service terrible, the entertainment.....terrible. Sorry, I can't get into the "we need ketchup" joke repeated over and over and over. Our kids even found it annoying- though they did enjoy the short show at 'Ohana.

Another vote for Ohana. :thumbsup2 They have activities for the children, yet the adults are able to relax and enjoy their meal. At WCC we weren't impressed with the food, it's very loud and your experience depends very much on the mood of your server.

This has been my experience, too. Ohana's during our last (Dec, 09) trip was horrible. Overcooked, tough meats and a grumpy waitress.

WCC has a heck of a bad rep, though. When we went there (Feb, 08) we thought the food was nifty. Maybe things have changed.

Still, there's no entertainment at WCC, so you're comparing apples to oranges.
