What do you recommend for our arrival night dinner? Ohana's or Kona Cafe??
Thanks so much!:thumbsup2

Go with Kona, not as big of a wait. Service is faster so if you're shot from traveling you can make a quicker exit. Both have excellent food. You can't go wrong either way.

Both restaurants are good but for different things.

If you want a quiet atmosphere with very good food served in courses, Kona is the way to go.

If you want a festive atmosphere with all you can eat food served family style, Ohana is the place.

We like both, it just depends on the kind of night you want to have.

Ohana is a nice welcome meal to Disney :) Especially if you're really hungry. If you can get the reservation I would say go there. If not, Kona is fantastic too. But I prefer Kona for breakfast and Ohana for Dinner. Just a personal preference :thumbsup2

I would definitely say Ohana at my house! We make a stop there on every trip. I think it would be especially great to start the trip too. Very fun atmosphere with lots of tropical music and drinks and wonderful food. Make sure you bring your appetite too...lots of yummy meats and great sides. Plus, if you are there at the right time, you can even watch Wishes (and easily see the castle if you sit by the window if its not during Wishes).
Best of luck and have fun! :thumbsup2

O'hana! the skewered meats are awesome :goodvibes. Also we felt like Kona was the low point of our last trip (as far as food)

My mom just reserved our dinner at Kona's for my birthday. I never ate there before so I really am not sure about their food or anything just yet. I have eaten at Ohana's. It was an early breakfast..... and let me tell you it was D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S! I also loved taking pictures with the characters and staring down the castle anticipating the full day thats about to come after... at the MK. Anyways, I think you would like Ohana's though but its up to you :-)
