We have eaten many times at Ohanas for dinner (LOVE it), but never for breakfast. I tried to make a PS for 6 for breakfast at Chef Mickey's and couldn't get one so I switched to Ohanas. How is the food? It doesn't sound like there is much of a selection and my kids are very picky. Should I keep trying for Chef Mickey's or stick with Ohanas?

We ate breakfast at 'Ohana last trip. It's a little more low-key than Chef Mickey's. Great character interaction; the kids get up and dance with the gang, but it's not as loud and chaotic as CM. The food selection is definately more limited. The food is brought out in a big skillet. Eggs, Mickey waffles, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and pinapple bread.

Everyone gets their food out of the skillet. You don't order food, only drinks. The skillet is brought to your table.

We went to Ohana for breakfast last weekend. What I liked was that it was family style so you didn't miss a character by being in the buffet line. What I didn't like was the lack of variety of the food. I probably wouldn't go back just because of the limited selection. I haven't done Chef Mickey's for breakfast, but I have for dinner. I found the character interaction at Chef Mickey's to be much better than at Ohana. At Ohana, each character only came around once, and with the exception of Chip, spend very little time at each table.

We ate at O'hana's on Tuesday morning. Having eaten at many character breakfasts I would say O'hana's was very good. I liked that it was much more low -key. At Chef Mickey's many children are walking around either getting food or trying to see the characters. (The CM's keep the chilkdren from interfering with others)

At O'Hana's my kids liked the waffles and sausage. DH and I thought the eggs were fresh and light.

We do like Chef Mickey's but Ohana was convenient for us since we were staying at the Poly.:sunny:

Hey Splash, we were there Tuesday morning too, that was the day we left <sniff>

I thought the character interaction was great, each character came around a couple times, but we were also there at 7:30AM so the restaurant wasn't full. The food was ok. I've never been to Chef Mickey's so I can't compare. Like Splash, we stayed at the Poly so I picked Ohana's for the convenience.

KikiNJ~ we has PS for 8:50 but did not get sitted right away. We too came home on Tuesday.
We had a great time. However, our battery died in our camera just as Mickey came to the table. I think Michely felt bad because when the parade started Mickey came back to our table and grabbed by DS hand and marched through O'Hanas with him. My DS loved that!:sunny:
