Hey all,

I need some advice. We are going to Disney the week on Labor Day and are doing the dining plan for the first time. My sister and I (who are in our late 20's) are planning on doing MNSSHP on Friday, the 11th. Our plans for the day are to take the morning off from the parks until the party.

We are staying at the Beach Club and have Cape May Cafe' reservations for a 10:00am breakfast. I currently also have reservations for Ohana for 5:00pm that evening. Will there be enough time to eat & get to the party by 7?

Also, what does everyone think of Ohana? I've read so-so reviews on it, but people on the dis seem to love it. I'm concerned about the noise and time it will take to eat.

Our other alternative would be to eat an early dinner at Beaches and Cream before hitting the party. The only thing i don't like about this is I can't make reservations. Surely, at 3:30 or 4:00 it won't be that crowded?

What does everyone think?

Last year we did exactly what you are plannng to do this year. We love BCV and this will be our 13th Halloween there. I pick a restaurant at the resorts near MK the night of the MNSSHP. Last year was Ohana, we had 5:00 reservations and made it with no problem to the party. We took the boat over but you can also take the monorail - it's on the second floor where Ohana is. Food was very good and we were not rushed at all. I would do Beaches & Cream another night and give Ohana a try.

we did ohanas at 5pm and then went to MNSSHP. worked out perfectly. ohana's is amazing! one of my top favs. this year we're doing ohana's again,
5pm before MNSSHP. :yay:

O'Hana's is good. We went in '07 before a Pirate and Princess Party and everyone was dressed up and it was crowded. But remember, it doesn't have to be 7 before you go in. You can enter on your party ticket anytime after 4. So, it should work out just fine. Especially with 2 people, you tend to get done faster.

I did the exact same thing last year; Ohana's and then MNSSHP. I really enjoyed the restaurant and then took the monorail around.

That's what I am doing 5PM 'Ohana and then MNSSHP. I'm looking forward to it!

Ohana is one of my favorites. If you wanted it to be it doesn't need to be a long dining experience as they just keep bringing food out to you until you stay stop. Like others have said, you have monorail right there so easy exit out.

We have the exact same ADR planned for the 11th too. How funny! Ours is at 5:05 at Ohana's, I'm really looking forward to the meal (first time at dinner) & the party. I thought the timing would work out perfect for us.

Since the restaurant doesn't open until five for dinner, does that mean there is a big rush to get in right at five? Do you usually have to wait very long when you have 5:00 reservations?

we are doing the same date/time too! Looking forward to Ohana and then MNSSHP. Love Ohana but have never been to the Halloween party.

Seems like there will be a few of us there that same date/time!

:wave2:
