I was skeptical about this meal going in because of all of the negative reports that I read on here. We went last Thursday for the first time, so maybe the changes are not for the better, but I thought this was an awesome meal.
From the time that we sat down, there was a constant flow of food to the table, and oh my word it was good. First we were given salad with some sort of lime dressing, very good, then the wings and dumplings I think they were called along with noodles. Next came the skewers, oh the skewers. First was steak, then the turkey and pork and then the shrimp. I thought the main course was to die for until......oh my gosh, the desert...bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and a banana foster sauce that you drizzled on the top. I had two boys, 17 and 18, and an 11 year old daughter who absolutely loved this meal. It was fun and delicious. I laughed so hard when the boys saw the desert and said "oh, that just cruel to give us all this food and then give us the best desert ever so that we are too full to eat it". Needless to say they ate it.:)

We stayed at the Poly Jan 08 and had ADRs here. DH and I both loved it! Very romantic, too... except I ate so much I was miserable all evening ;) - advance warning for all: save room for dessert!

Our first WDW meal was 'Ohana. Yes, the menu has changed a little but I remember my lovely fruity drink and that dessert -- to die for!!!!!!!!!! DH had a big ol' glass of milk with dessert - he loved being in WDW -- milk was a drink on the DDP and he drank alot of it!! (not many [fancy] restaurants serve milk!!!)

Great review -- I hope to someday make it back there. So many yummy places to eat and only so much time!!!

Thank you for sharing your dining review. I am so glad you had a great experience at 'Ohana, nice to see good reviews.

Moving your post over to the review board

thanks for posting!

So glad you loved it! We went for the first time in April and it was one of the best meals we ever had at WDW....they should serve the dessert first!

Thank you for the review. We are seriously considering this for our next trip.

I love Ohana, I can't wait to try the new items this fall.

Thanks for you review and I'm glad you enjoyed. This is a must do for us!

This is our fav. restaurant and where we ate the night we got engaged. We will be eating here again for our 1 year wedding anniversary in a few weeks.

glad to see a good review on the new menu, we have never been to Ohana's and it nearly wasn't on my ADR list, so glad i booked it, i tihnk thats the one im most exicited for!!!

My dd and I LOVED Ohana! I never saw so much meat on my plate ever! How do you say no when it is soooooo good!

Glad you enjoyed it!!! :)

DH and I went last September and left the kids behind with family at the hotel thinking it wasn't really a kids restaurant. We LOVED it- had great food, friendly service, and a FABULOUS view of the fireworks! There was a lot going on, with a Hawaiian musician/comedian, kids games throughout the restaurant and lots of audience participation! Lots of kids were there, too! Big Surprise! We're going back this year WITH the kids and am sure we will all love it again!

I also have an ADR in December for my first time there!!! I am doing the breakfast! We love the Kona Cafe, so I am assuming that the food is going to be just as good if not better than there!!

This my first time to Disney and Ohana's is one of the ADRs I made, so needless to say your report does alot to make me happy about my choice! My son saw the words Skewer and shrimp he has the silliest grin on his face!

We have ADRs for Ohana's for the first time in July. I am so glad to hear so many positive reviews. My DS (9) is a huge "lover of meat" (as he says) so I am looking forward to this as much for him as for the rest of us. Thanks for sharing:goodvibes

Ohanas is a great place.:rainbow:

I came to know about Ohanas through the restaurant guide. It has good ratings & reviews. we got our seats through the guide,
prices are reasonable and the portions are HUGE.pixiedust:
