We are going to WDW in October. I had booked all my dining ressies for the week and then later on I added MNSSHP. Well the night of the party, I have Ohana booked for 8 pm something. There are no other times or days available while we are there (4 nights, 5 days). Hubby says it's a waste of tickets for party if we eat that late, but I have my heart set on eating there! Any suggestions? Does anyone know the apps you can get that lets you know when a time is available or opens up? Help!

I think I have to agree with your husband. I'd try for another night, but if it doesn't work out you can always leave Ohana for next time. I really do understand that it's hard to give up an ADR when you've got your heart set, but you'll still have a great time without it.

Not sure about the apps but I definitely would not plan to eat at that time on the night you are attending the party - you will miss everything! We love 'Ohana too but not to miss precious party time like that. (Not to mention the money spent on tickets) Keep checking periodically every day. ADRs - even those at 'Ohana - often open up closer to the date. You may be able to get one on a different night.

You miss a minimum of 2 hours of party time if you want to dine at Ohana at that time (including travel time to and from the Poly and if you get seated on time--they are usually late with most ADRs). I would skip it for this trip if you cannot change it to another day. The party costs too much to waste that amount of time.

I would keep looking for other dates and subscribe to the ADR cancellation thread for October. I would not miss the party time, either.

Agree with dmetcalfrn. We have a late October reservation for O'hana at 5:00 that we might cancel. I am not going to know for sure until we see what we book for F&W as well as FP. If we do cancel I am going to post it on that thread to see if anyone wants to try an coordinate so they can try to pick it up.

I agree with everyone else. I wouldn't waste such valuable party time on dinner. Keep trying to switch though! People cancel all the time.

There is no way I would leave the party to go to dinner anywhere. For an 8 PM dinner you need to plan at leat 30 minute to get to the Poly, and that is conservative. So you have to be out the door by 7:30. 'Ohana is notorious forr runing late, but even if you are seated at 8, you need t plan at least an hour, probably longer, for dinner, and then anout 30 minutes out. You will not be back befor 9:30. I woudl cancel this.

We are going in October as well. I didnt start planning at the 180 day mark because we only decided to go about 2 months ago. When I started booking ADR's, the only Ohana available was 9:50. I took it but kept watching for something better to open up and it did. We now have a 7:10pm and when I booked, there were several other times available too. Not sure why they all popped up at the same time like that.

I would not leave the party to eat there. Just keep checking and I bet a time will pop up for you on another day.

I wouldn't eat that late anywhere when you have party tickets. You'll miss the parade and potentially fireworks.
