Ohana

Thanks everyone for responding.

It's no big deal if we don't land the reservation at OHanas. I've eaten there several times for breakfast and really enjoyed it so thought it would be nice to try eating there for dinner. If we don't get the reservation that's ok we'll go somewhere else.
We have experienced the decline in Ohana over the last decade plus. Breakfast is the only meal at Ohana we would recommend. We no longer consider dining at Ohana at dinner when there are far superior choices that have managed to maintain a higher level of service, food quality and availability.

I would love some suggestions for the"better" restaurants-we'll be going in Nov.!! Thanks!!!:thumbsup2

We finally made it to Ohana's for the frst time in April 2010. We absolutely loved it. Food was awesome and enjoyed the entertainment. We even went back for a character breakfast that was just as good.

That's our attitude as well

I agree. Its very popular. I'm not a huge fan of MK restaurants and I think its close proximity to MK increases the popularity. It is a "must go to" for us each year, its hard to get a ressie. Its good but now our favorite meal.

If you can't get 'Ohana I would definitely recommend you try Kona Cafe.

My TA told us not to go but I had to try it. We waited over 45 minutes to be seated even though there were many empty tables. Service was very slow. By that time all the children's activities were over and my DD (5) was exhausted. We will not go back.

I could skip the meat offerings at Ohanas, except for the wings. We're going again on our October trip mainly for the wings and the bread pudding! :goodvibes I loved the salad, too. Those three things were so outstanding that I'm willing to pay the price for them alone.

DH and I really enjoy 'Ohanas a lot. We go every trip and always experience great service and food. The atmosphere is the icing on the cake. I'd keep trying for that ressie! And like others have said Kona is a great alternative.

I would wait an hour to be seated at O'hana. When I started booking meals this week, it was already way later than the 180 day window of opportunity yet after going back to the on-line make reservation site each and every day, an ideal booking finally popped open. Still can't land Le Cellier nor California Grill for the week after Thanksgiving. OK well I declined the opportunity to reserve California Grill for 9:20PM. Can't eat that late and make it to rope drop next day.:wizard:

I think its so popular because its one of the few dinner spots at a monorail resort only 1 credit on the dining plan. Guests can easily leave the park to get there and of course the view of Wishes without the crowd is a big draw.

As for the food...Ehh..at best.
