Hi, I will be in Disney this weekend with my girlfriend as a spur of the moment little vacation and I was wondering if Ohana is a good choice for a young couple?? We are on a college budget lol so places like California grill are unfortunately out of the question..Ohanas looks good but I am afraid it is too much of a family atmosphere and I heard the food is sometimes pretty bad. Any advice?

We were there last week and the food was so good. We didn't have a window seat, but could still see the fireworkds. I highly recommend it.

I'm 21 and Ohana is my absolute favorite restaurant! If you go later in the evening it is less noisy/fewer kids and you can see the fireworks if you have a table near a window. I think the atmosphere at the Polynesian is really romantic. Have fun!

My husband and I were at Ohana last year. We had a table for two by the window with a view of the castle. The view was fabulous. However, there were lots of families and kids and it was kinda loud. The food was pretty good too.

How about trying The Wave over at the Contemporary? It's getting great reviews. It may be more of an adult atmosphere?

I too am college age - don't worry about it. O'Hana is great! The food is yummy and yes - there are children but it's a lot of fun!!! I suggest you go and have a blast!

Ohana is one of the best places to eat in my opinion. We actually went twice on our last trip. It is kid friendly, as most places at Disney are!! I think if you go later at night it might not be so hectic. But definately go and check it out. You won't be disappointed!!:thumbsup2

We've only done 'Ohana once for dinner-we haven't been back. However, we do like it for breakfast. The food is really good! My personal choice would be Kona Cafe-also located at Poly. It's one of our favs!:goodvibes

We re in our mid 20's & Ohanas is by far our fav restaurant. We love it so much that we re having the meal on our wedding day there. You ll love it, the atmosphere is fantastic, settings beautiful. Sure there are families there but hey its in Disney there are families in most places. When we last ate there it was mostly couples a round us. I know many other brides have also had there wedding meals there to so its def got a nice romantic vibe to it. If you get a window seat you look out over the lagoon & if you get your timings right you can sit & watch Wishes whilst eating your meal:love: .
A man walks a round singing & playing guitar & stops & sings to couples/ any one they can see celebrating something.
Honestly if you book Ohanas you wont be sorry :thumbsup2

We've gone every trip (except the last one, couldn't get an ADR). I love the atmosphere and food here. We asked for a window seat (July 2008) after we checked in for our ADR and waited over an hour past our ADR time (and it wasn't even close to Wishes time frame it was 6 p.m. and Wishes was at 10 p.m. that night) for a window seat. It is very romantic if you're not out in the middle of the floor.
