Has anyone had any luck standing by for dinner at Ohana? We are going next week and was gonna try to standby on Saturday for dinner right when they open around 3-330.

You should be able to get a seat. You may be waiting a long time though. I'd just keep checking for reservations

Most folks will tell you that is pretty risky at Ohana, even at that hour. If you try it, keep your expectations low and have a backup plan. If it works out, bonus.

FWIW, I am always amazed how many Ohana ADRs pop up the day before, especially at the fringe times. I’d keep searching when there.

If all else fails, Tambu Lounge is a great place to sit and wait!

Good luck.

I agree with the previous post. Chances are not good. If it works out it's very lucky. I would have a backup plan and keep trying for a reservation.

If you can't get in then maybe do Kona Cafe as your back up plan - I think the food quality is better there...

Last week I was able to switch a reservation from 5pm to 3:30 by using reservation finder that morning.

How many in your party?

Trying to do this right at opening will likely cause you some frustration. The restaurant doesn’t fill every seat immediately. So, you’ll probably be told that there’s a two-and-a-half hour wait even though you can see hundreds of empty seats. And I’m not joking about the wait time.

I would try but it is not likely. Me and my husband tried this in April with just the two of us and the hostess actually made us feel ridiculous for even asking. We just happened to be over at the Poly and thought we would see and I’m not even sure she seriously looked. Just began to lecture us on ADRS... which was super annoying.

The reason you can't get a reservation is because they're booked at max capacity, they don't save tables for walk ups. I would take the advice of others who have responded and keep checking frequently, especially the day before.

My nephew was able to get us a reservation for tonight at 5pm. All I know is he got it some time this morning through the app. (He feels using reservation finder is cheating lol)

Also try the touring plans reservation finder. Using that I was able to find a 9:30 ADR, and then a 4:30 one on a different day.

This. I've had really good luck at finding ADRs the day before using this. On our last trip, I was able to get an ADR at 'Ohana using this the day of the ADR. I was also able to change the time of our ADR at Hollywood & Vine.

On our last trip (2015) I saw a line of locals lining up trying to get in and they did try to get all of them a table. It might not work but if you have the time to wait.
