I know you can get alternate menu items... my kid has a lot of texture issues but will often try things in the right environment. Can I order him a dish of mac and cheese so that I know he will have enough to eat but still allow him to try the skewered steak and chicken and maybe the wings? Or does it have to be one or the other?

Ideally he'd have some meat and mac and cheese :) he won't touch the noodles or veggies or any of that stuff.

yes one or the other
or yes he can get mac and cheese and still eat from the adult menu?

Thanks!
You will be paying the child rate for the child. You can request mac and cheese, nuggets, hot dog, PB&J or a few similar items, but there is no restriction on him chowing down off the platters brought for the table. So there's no ala carte price. He's all in on the cost, and they will make something special for him, but he's welcome to try everything else.

Great, thank you! I just wasn't sure if you ordered a kids item off menu if you were done for the regular stuff. :)

We are adults and they still let us have the Mac and Cheese every time. It is one reason why Ohana was a perfect pre-half fuel meal for me. Thankfully my waiter was a runner as well so he brought the mac and cheese with out me even asking for it haha. He brought a massive bowl and was like you'll need this and the noodles so let me know if you want more.

that is awesome. Disney is pretty easy going and guest oriented but I did not want to talk it up too much without knowing for sure. He has sensory issues and is super picky because of it but had a great time at a brazilian bbq type place... he loved all the meats from the skewers and ate his weight in cheese bread but would not touch a thing from the buffet. I don't think he'll even like the bread at Ohana so I'd like to provide something other than the meat. Mac and cheese and grilled steak and chicken are pretty much the perfect thing for him :)
