I've had to shuffle my ADRs around to accommodate our flights and had to give up my Ohana reservation for day of arrival.

I was able to get another reservation for Ohana - good news.
BUT.. it's at 8:30 PM on our Magic Kingdom day. My dilema? WISHES?! I know we won't make it back to the Park for Wishes, but will we be able to see the fireworks from Ohana? And do they pipe in music?

Sooooo torn over whether to just cancel the reservation all together. I mean, how do you miss the MK fireworks?! But if I cancel, this will be our 2nd trip to the World without getting to have dinner at Ohana.

Advice? TIA!

You can see Wishes if you get a window seat with a Lagoon View. There are like a dozen or so of them. But usually people don't give them up anytime close to Wishes and will just stay there so unless your reservation is for 730/745 I wouldn't think you would get one.

They don't pipe in music. Or at least haven't when we've been there.

Every time we've been there they'e piped in the music (however, the last time we were there was Dec 08 so things may have changed). They used to dim the lights, but on our last trip they left the lights on, and that kinda ruined the ambience imho. Another option is to go down on the beach at the Poly and watch them there - they've always played the music on the beach too, as far as I know, anyway.

We were there last October. This trip was planned less than 6 months in advance, which is unusual for us, and the only ADR I could get for Ohana was at 8:30. When I checked in, I requested a Wishes view table. They noted that on my check in, and said that my wait could be longer to get that table -- we had arrived early in hopes of being seated early. Anyway, we chose to wait. We had the most perfect view!! We were seated right by the window, straight view of the castle. During Wishes, they dimmed the lights and piped in the music. It was beautiful. We'd never experienced Wishes from Ohana before, and it was a magical experience.

We had an 8:30 ADR and didn't even realize at check in that you could see Wishes from there so we just took what we got. But we got a GREAT table with a perfect view right by the window. They dimmed the lights and pipped in the music...it was a great mid-meal treat!

My suggestion would be to try and get a earlier reservation for Ohana or possibly the last on of the evening. You could sit outside on the beach and watch wishes. They put the music through the speakers out there.
