We are going for the first time to Disney in October. I have 6 year old twins. I have two reservations for Ohana currently one for breakfast and one for dinner.

The one for dinner is at 8:20 p.m. on the day we will be going to Animal Kingdom. We will be eating breakfast at Tusker House at 9:35 that morning.

The one for breakfast is on our last day and would be the last thing we would do there, it's at 10:15.

The day we are booked at Tusker House and Ohana is the only day we have double TS booked. We do not have anything the next day until Lunch at BOG at 1:55.

I just don't want to wear my kids out and I want to make sure we get the best meal and the best experience at Ohana. If one is better than the other.

Thanks in advance!

I mean, just in comparison, Ohana breakfast is a character meal, so you meet Stitch, Lilo, Pluto, and Mickey(Goofy may be there as well), so that's a big difference. And the food is more general breakfast fare whereas Ohana dinner has a lot of great things, but I don't know how picky your kids are. And also remember, if you are staying onsite and want to get from DAK to the Poly, it'll be a lengthy bus ride.

I prefer O'hana dinner over breakfast, however, I would hesitate taking 6 year olds to dinner at 8:20 pm. If they are backed up, you may not be seated immediately and you won't get out of there until well after 9 pm. If your children aren't used to staying up that late, I personally wouldn't do it. As the PP noted, breakfast and dinner are very different. Breakfast is fairly standard fare and the characters come to your table. Dinner has no characters, but has Polynesian music plus some games (limbo, sweep a coconut). Dinner is family style, salad, apps, meat on skewers. Based on your times, I would do the breakfast. I think that's a lovely way to end your trip! But if dinner appeals more, I would just keep searching for an earlier time.

We love Ohana dinner, however I would never go to a dinner that late with children. If you have to wait, eat and get back to the hotel, it could be
too late. I like getting my children back to the room, unwind a bit and not go to bed too late, so they are not exhausted the next day. Also, my kids never eat dinner that late, so they would be starving by then. Ohana gets a lot of cancellations, just keep checking for an earlier cancellation.

I have two daughters 7 and 3 and have been to both meals. Both meals are excellent so you can't go wrong, however I do have to give breakfast the edge at 'Ohana. We have been to many of the breakfasts on property and I have to say that 'Ohana is by far my favorite. The kids love the characters and the food is awesome....LOVE Mickey waffles!! I also agree that you would be getting back from dinner really late. My vote is for breakfast!!!
