Tried to make ressies at Ohana for the one night we would be able to have dinner there, but they had nothing available. I'm so disappointed! What would our chances of getting a table be like if we just showed up at around 5:00?

probably not very good. 'ohana dinner is very popular and there's a good chance they may turn you away. you can always try of course, but i'd be calling disney dining at least 3x a day every day if i were you and it's that important.

I'd call frequently to see if anyone has cancelled an ADR. Every time we have been at Ohana, it's been completely full.

I have had early ADR's (like around 5:00, as you are suggesting) here twice. Both times we had to wait to be seated, there were many people milling around at the podium and the restaurant was already close to filled. Unfortunately, this is just one of the those places that is hard to get into without an ADR. I think that continuing to get an ADR, even up to the time you are actually on property, is a good idea. Something may open up.

I would try, early though. Like 4:30, not 6:00. The ADRs do not count for 100% capacity, so it couldn't hurt.

We have ADRs there for our up comming trip. And the only time we could get wat 9:45 pm. Oh well I guess we will be really hungry by then. :rotfl:

We try to make our adr's here for right at opening. You wouldn't believe how long we have had to wait even with the adr's. I would keep calling if I were you.

Last year (Oct.) we tried to get ADR's at O'hana's and they were booked, so we booked the Kona Kafe instead. Well we got to the restaurant at 5:00 and out of curiosity asked at O'hana's how long the wait would be. They said about 30 min. We didn't think that was bad and they had a really neat bar area, so we put our names down. Not even 10 min. later they called our names and we were seated. So it is possible

We have been lucky in the past by just walking up at 5:00 to get a seat. There have only been a couple of times when we weren't able to do that and they were during the busier times of the year.

I think they open for dinner at 5. If you dont get in, maybe Kona can fit you in, and if not, the Poly has a food court. Being flexible is the price paid for calling less than 180 days ahead. Since you can book ADR for up to 10 days of your vaca at 180, even then, I have heard of not getting the time frame ppl were hoping for at some places:confused3

Good luck:wizard:

Everytime we have walked by, which is often because we stay at the Poly most of the time, I hear the CM say, "sorry we are all booked up or maybe we can get you in around 9:30 come back. They don't even promise it at 9:30. Keep trying for a ADR.
