'Ohana vs Liberty Tree Tavern?

Since LTT no longer has character dining I'd choose Ohana for the experience - children generally enjoy the festivities. As others have noted you will miss a lot of park time if you are returning from AKL (transportation & waiting to be seated tends to be long).

I agree with you. I enjoy LTT, but when it was a character dining it made it all the more a must do. If choosing between the two, I would pick Ohana without a doubt.

Thanks, it sounds like it could be worth it to just take a taxi from AKL to Poly, then monorail over to MK when done with dinner. I snagged an ADR for Ohana, it would just mean slightly shorter nap time for the kids.

I think this would be a good strategy. We have always taken a cab back from AKL when we have eaten at Jiko or Boma when returning to our resort or going back to a park, which is similar to what you would be doing going to Ohana instead.

If you drive to the poly you will be given a three hour parking pass. If you think you need more than 3 hours to eat and go to MK, I would suggest parking at TTC, walking to poly, then taking the monorail to MK.

Personally, I love the whole atmosphere at Ohana, so that's my vote. BTW does anyone know what the cost is for an adult meal at Ohana? Thank you!

Last time we were in WDW this past August when we met you and a few others, it was $34.99; not sure if it's still the same price or not? Perhaps they have removed the shrimp from the menu and raised the price another $1 :rotfl2: (J/K, I love Ohana)

This sounds like a good idea too. How long is the walk from TTC to Poly?

Not long, maybe 5 minutes.

We ate at Ohana's last week - was one of the better dinners of our trip, I'd even go twice. I think it was posted at $38.95 per head at the time. Service was great, food was great, reminded me of some of the Brazilian places that come around with the meat on the skewers so if you look at it that way it's not much more expensive then they are.

We returned last Saturday morning for breakfast. I'd stay away from that, it was a completely different experience - poor service and very expensive for eggs and potatoes.

I'd definitely recommend dinner, though.
