It will be just two adults. Feels kinda silly to wait in line for characters at the theme park when there aren't any children on the trip (and we could be doing other things).

Which would you recommend? One would obviously be on Epcot Day and one on MK Day. Breakfast food is pretty straight forward so the emphasis would be on other things. Atmosphere, price, interaction levels, etc.

We are adults who always do a few character breakfasts. We have never been to Ohana but really liked Cape May. This was prior to Covid.

It's sort of like comparing apples and oranges.
Ohana is family style, whereas I believe Cape May has resumed the buffet.
The highlight of Ohana, and the ONLY character reason to go there is to meet Stitch.

I only do family style meals at the moment because I'm not making 8 billion trips to the buffet for my kids, so I can't speak to Cape May.

I would do Ohana. I haven't been there in 5+ years but I went to Cape May Cafe last month and it was the worst meal of the entire trip. I know you said you're not focused on food but even for breakfast food it was pretty bad.

The characters are Donald, Daisy, Minnie and Goofy. Goofy completely skipped over our table while we saw the other three at least once.

Apparently the OP is enquiring about breakfast. I'd go for Cape May any day over 'Ohana.

I've done both for breakfast, and both sets of characters were fun and interactive. We wanted Stitch and Lilo, so Ohana was probably our favorite. But, I enjoyed them both.

The atmosphere is way better at ‘Ohana. I would choose there between those two options. Did you consider Topolino’s? The atmosphere, food, and interaction are great there. It has a nice “adult” feel as well. I know you would need to get there, but then you could skyliner over to the park after you eat. Just a suggestion.

They are both overpriced (but what isn't) and Cape May has more variety but 'Ohana has the bread pudding. Done deal. :)

we like Ohana much more than Cape May especially since Cape May has started charging extra for certain menu items

Interestingly you're not the first account I've hear about Goofy skipping tables.

Interesting. At first I assumed it was because our group were all adults but there were other tables without kids that Goofy went to. It was weird but we didn't make a big deal out of it.

We had a great experience at Cape May last month. There was none of us at two table and all the characters came around more than once and there was something for everyone at the buffet. It was an extremely relaxed meal for a character meal and service was great across the board. We haven’t been to Ohana’s since before Covid, but Cape May was one of the big hits of the trip for us.
