We have an 8:50pm reservation for Ohana during our trip. I realize this means there will be lots of people camping out for the fireworks. For us it doesn't really matter if we see the fireworks but my fiance gets very antsy if he has to wait much past reservation time. Does anyone have experience with this reservation time? What time should we try to arrive to minimize wait time for a table. Thanks!

Expect to wait. 30 minutes is not unusual, no matter what time your ADR is for.
Can you send him to a lounge until you text that your table is ready? if he hates to wait, seriously, would consider this.

For our visit to Ohana last May we didn't even wait five minutes before we got our text so hard to say what your wait time will be. Nice thing is that you're not tied to the waiting area and can wander around.

We have 7:15 p.m. reservations and are hoping to see fireworks from our table. I keep checking for a latter reservation but no luck so far.

Seems like experiences vary - we checked in nearly 30 minutes early and were told they couldn't guarantee us a table earlier than our reservation time. Not even a minute later, I was getting a text our table was ready and they sat us. This was around 8pm. So, anything is possible.
