'Ohana Reservations

We're staying offsite and about 85 days out. We have other ADRs that we've made, but decided we'd like to try Ohana. Nothing is available any day we are there until 9:00pm+. With DD5 who normally eats around 5:30pm are we completely out of luck? I've been checking the site daily and I've seen some openings come up around 8:00pm but nothing earlier. Anyone have any luck getting an earlier time?

Also, if DD5 wants a grilled cheese (she can be picky) will they make that for her at Ohana?

Yes, you could get lucky and chance upon a reservation. I would advice checking multiple times a day to see if a reservation has opened up. It sounds tedious, but truly the only way I think you'll chance upon a reservation. You never know when someone will cancel a reservation, so checking various times a day is really how you might chance upon finding one that's opened. Sometimes closer to the trip date is when people get lucky finding reservations, so don't give up.

Yes, they will make something different for your child. They serve alternate meals for kids. I'm not sure if grilled cheese is one of the selections, but I do know chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, and hamburgers are options that have been given to my kids.

As the PP said, just keep checking multiple times a day. I have been searching for CRT and Akershus and I was able to get both this way. However, I wasn't strict with my times, I just knew I wanted breakfast or lunch. Also, around 45 days out start checking too! Thats when trips need to be paid in full and people cancel. Oh, and checking 24-48 hours before the desired date seems to work for some people.

Alternatives are available for the kids at Ohana, again as the PP mentioned, but I believe they still charge the full price.

I have very picky kids. My kids had grilled cheese and fries when we ate there in Sept.

Ohana and I have a love hate relationship I've probably been here more than any other Disney restaurant and always go back and forth on if I want to keep dining here or skip it... Well about a week ago I saw a commercial for a Brazilian steakhouse decided I wanted to dine here it'd been a year and the Bread Pudding, steak, and noodles sounded really really good lol ff topic:

My vacation was only 1 month away so my family told me I had NO chance of scoring a reservation... So I kept checking and 3 hours later I had a reservation @ 6:30 for a party of 5

I have to say I was a little shocked but my long winded story leads to me saying its VERY possible just check check and check some more I have found Sunday mornings to be the BEST time for reservations to appear

hey Mainiac...I too am one..
We are going to O'Hana and we did see that there are options for the kids meals...if they dont find something that they like on the offerings...

Like the Luau the grandkids got hotdogs and mac and cheese and chicken fingers besides the luau food that was brought to the table...they actually ate the brocolli and noodles...so things may surprise you..
