Could somebody please confirm that O'hana is as delicious as it looks?!?!

Actually, this is a bit more than that. Is their lunch the same as their dinner? And also, do children usually like the food? Or do they need to order off a children's menu if we're using the dining plan?

Okay, now, tell me what I should save room for and does anybody have any pictures?????

I did a review when we went to 'Ohana in March- you can find it on the thread linked above.

We went for dinner, and not on the dining plan so I cannot answer all your questions. I do know they will offer young children an alternative if it's desired. Our DGS, age 6, did not want it so I don't recall what it was.

I hope you do go- it's a definite return place for us!
I hope my review helps you decide.

PS- Go into the Dining Reviews thread and you'll surely be able to find more reviews and pictures.

We were there in late March. While we had a great table next to fire pits, the food was just OK. The thing that really bothered me is much of the meal is finger food and has sticky sauces. This leaves your hands a mess. I hate being sticky so much that when I have pancakes at home I have to have a wet napkin to whip my hands on. About half way through the meal I had to ask for a wet napkin. They brought out a plate of warm wet wash clothes. It would have been nice to have had these earlier in the meal like after the chicken wings.

One other thing to note, the poly is not the easiest place to get to from another resort of from a park other then the MK. Allow extra transit time.

We will not be returning to Ohana anytime soon. This is mostly because there are so many other choices that we want to try. Our only repeats will be Le Cellier (hopefully) and Biergarten.

We really like the meal. Although the service has been hit and miss the past few trips. With that said we still make it a must do at least every other trip. :)

We went in March and loved it. My DD8 has not stopped talking about the pork dumplings.

The bread pudding is incredible!

'Ohana is one of our favorite dining locations in WDW. We go every trip. I have to disagree with the previous poster about difficulty getting there, it's actually very easy- take a bus to either MK or TTC and then hop the monorail( make sure you take the resort monorail), and actually you can walk from the TTC if you really wanted to. As for your question about a lunch menu they don't serve lunch there.

It is served family style so there is no menu. They serve a salad with a great honey lime dressing, pork postickers with 3 dipping sauces, a vegtable, yummy chicken wings, and Thai type lo mein noodles which are brought out in bowls. Waiters travel around the tables with turkey, beef, and shrimp on skewers and you take as much as you want. The dessert, or what my waiter calls the entree, is an awsome bread pudding and I don't like bread pudding. He pours on a sauce and you eat til you think you are going to die. Go definately hungry and eat slow.

I agree - one of the easier resorts to get to from just about anywhere! Also, love the food and atmosphere of the resort. Wishes from the beach is a highlight of every trip!!!

Hi,
We just got back from Disney a week and a half ago. We went with a group of 11 and all of the adults agreed that 'Ohana was our favourite meal of the trip. It was delicious! There are other things for the kids to eat as well such as chicken nuggets and fries, hot dog and fries, mac and cheese and grilled cheese. This will definitely be a repeat for us when we take our next trip!

You make me all salivate! Gosh....will September ever hurry up and be here so I can eat this delicious food?!?!?

Another question, if by chance you're so full that you can't manage dessert, do they let you take it with? Or can you box up any part that you didn't eat? (Not like I would pile on the food in hopes of taking it back, but sometimes my eyes are a bit bigger than my stomach)

We were there last Friday and loved it!:lovestruc I am a picky eater and went into not expecting to like anything, but I knew my DH and DD would enjoy it so I went for them. Wow was I suprised! This was my favorite meal of our trip (Narcossee's was a close second) the servers were very friendly, the atmosphere is fun and the food was delicious! I can't wait to go back in Sept!

We love Ohana, it's become a tradition for us to eat there every trip.

It's hard to say whether your kids will like it or not. DS didn't like it until he was about 11, he always got something from the kids menu. So not knowing the age of your kids or how picky your kids are, it's hard to say.

Check out the review board for reviews and pictures. Also check out the food porn thread for pictures.

Would OHanas be suitable for a vegetarian? it seems like a lot of meat! Do they offer vegetarian options, or would you suggest dining somewhere else?
