We have an 8 and 9 year old, hubby is a chef.. leaving Sunday. DH is concerned the girls will not like the food @ Ohana. I was told by a friend that it is actually not as bad as I think (as far as the spices) What do you all think??

O'Hana is a great restaurant, very similar to what they call "Brazilian Steakhouses" in these parts. We dined there earlier this year with a 2, twin 4 year olds, a 7 and a 15 year old and everyone was more than happy!! I don't remember anything being overly spicy..... Was the highlight of our dining plans for this year!

You should be happy!

My kids (and admitedly, myself) are extremely picky, but we love O'hana. It's now a family tradition. We didn't like all the food but there's a large selection so everyone found something they liked and we just asked for seconds (and thirds on certain items).

Several friends chuckled when I told them I also booked Crystal Palace as a back up, maybe I should go ahead and keep this ADR.

My DD is very picky. The server asked us if she wanted chicken fingers & fries instead so that is what she ate. If your kids don't like the menu, they can get chicken fingers or a burger instead...........

that's great to know.. I guess if they are willing to accomadate the kiddos, I should have no worries!!

O'Hana is our extended family's favorite restaurant! When we go as a group, all 10 of us can find something we like. It is served family style and the dessert is really good, too! The kids especially love the games hosted by the ukele (sp?) lady!

I think I am keeping this ADR, my husband still thinks Crystal Palace will be better for the girls!?!?!?!

My son and i love ohana. we have been there a couple of times. He will eat come of the food they bring but will also order a hot dog or chicken fingers. they are more than willing to take care of your childs needs. i love this place. it is our favorite.

But as for crystal palace i know a lot of people like this place.but it is an absolute never again for my family.

good luck:cool1:

We have been to Ohana once for breakfast and once for dinner.......for dinner my DS was 1 and my DD was 8. Both of them LOVED it. It is also MUCH more entertaining than Crystal Palace although it would be a hard choice between the 2 for me........... The servers lead the kids in a konga line and they all get to shake maraccas (sp?) around. It was a lot more than just dinner.

Another vote for Ohana here. We have had breakfast and dinner on seperate occasions and LOVED bot of them. Our only complaint with the dinner is they bring more food than you could ever possibly eat!

As far as kids, maybe our DD 5 is different than others, but she LOVES the type of food they serve. She sampled everything from the chicken wings, to the pork, beef, shrimp you name it.....gotta love a kid who HATES hot dogs and chicken fingers, LOL.

Also, as far as it say vs Crystal Palace for breakfast\character stuff? Not even a comparison. But then again, our last visit to Crystal Palace was disasterous. Meaning that Pooh and Piglet never even made it to our table, and the place was overly jammed. Our breakfast at Ohana on the other hand was GREAT. Very good character interaction, more than two visits by the primaries, and well, just a blast for all the kids!

My sons FAVORITE restaurant by far, loved the atmosphere and food was not spicy but quite YUMMY! PS; I have a picky eater and it went VERY well
steak, pork, sausage, shrimp, green beans, YUMMY YUMMY dessert too....
Have a great time!
Be sure to have the kids get up to dance and they'll get a Lei!!
