Ohana potatoes????

According to allears.net, the Ohana menu was just updated in March and lists potatoes instead of noodles-- is it true??? Anyone SUPER recently eat at Ohana's and notice the change??

Potatoes might be back?? That would be awesome!!

We've got ressies for dinner Sunday night, so I will report back with an update!! Oh would I love for them to have potatoes again!!

When we were there this past Jan., it was still noodles. I've heard reports since then that say it's noodles too. I wish allears.net could keep it's menus updated .

I've never been there (YET!!!) but am wondering what's wrong wtih the noodles? (Personally I'm a huge noodle fan so can't imagine meeting a noodle that I wouldn't like!) And what's so great about the potatoes that everyone keeps raving about? Too bad they don't offer both, eh?

I don't think people have anything wrong with the noodles (I love them!!), it's just that they think the potatoes were so much better (honestly, I don't even remember the potatoes .)

Nothing wrong with the noddles. They are great and work much better with the kind of food served than the potatoes did. The cheesey potatoes were okay but seemed out of place.

Unfortunately this has happened on Allears a few times. The menu gets "updated" people see potatoes and hope they will return. My understanding of why they were removed was part of WDW's trans fat free initiative. Something in the recipe had trans fats and they weren't able to duplicate them properly with an altered recipe, so the noodles came to be.

Oh, I was so hoping that allears was correct with the March updated menu and that the potatoes were back. We all loved them.

Yeah, I think the main problem is that often Allears just updates the pricing information at Ohana and doesn't actually check/alter the menu part. I've found more than one of their 'recently updated' menus for various restaurants to be wrong in the past.

For example, let's say I'm an allears information provider and I submit an update letting them know that the price of the salmon at Restaurant A has gone from $24.95 to $27.50 and that it is now served with rice instead of pasta. They'll get on their page, scroll down to salmon, change the information on the salmon dish and change the 'last update' date for the page, and then go right on to something else. Never mind that there are other changes on the same restaurant's menu that I as information-gatherer missed, the update is done and new date is noted.

But I do have to agree--- while the potatoes were amazing, the noodles are definitely a more fitting side dish. Thanks, everyone...

We ate there on March 28 and it was noodles. They werent bad but with all the other good stuff, the noodles fell by the wayside.

Those potatoes were soooooo goood! I was so upset when I went and saw they did away with them. The noodles are good but nothing compares to those potatoes! I wish they would bring them back!

We have had both. But, I kinda wondered how scalloped potatoes were "Polynesian". Noodles go well with the other food.
