I served this last night and it was to die for! I found the recipe on the DIS, doubled it and there wasnt a bite left, all my guests were raving about it and asking for the recipe. We have not made it to Ohana yet but it was fun having a piece of Disney with us for the holidays!

Merry Christmas everyone!

I love these potatoes and make them occasionally for my family as well. I'm glad that your family liked them.

I made the coriander wings yesterday. Yummy!

I would love to have the recipe.

We have 200 recipes so far on The Disney Recipe Exchange right here on The DisBoards, including the potatoes from 'Ohana. Stop by and say hello! The link is in my siggie below. :upsidedow

I have an ADR for Ohana this next trip. The potatoes sound so good. Every reveiw I have read raved about them. My family LOVES potatoes, I will have to give it a try.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I made it for Christmas dinner also and it was the hit of the meal. It is sinfully delicious. Does anyone think half & half could be subbed for the heavy cream??

That is exactly where I got the recipe! Cannot thank you enough for starting that thread!

I did one cup heavy cream and one cup fat free half and half (Land o Lakes) and it still came out super rich....but oh so yummy! I also nixed the salt because the cheese has a lot of salt in it.

Thanks that's good to know, I'm going to try and lighten it up next time.:goodvibes

We did this too, last year. We had an Ohana day for our Christmas dinner.

We made the potatoes, green beans, salad dressing on greens, shrimp, beef and bread pudding for dessert - all the recipes from the DIS!!

For breakfast that day we also made pineapple bread (from Ohana breakfast) and frunch (from Boma breakfast).

We invited Grandpa and Grandma and they loved the meal. I think it may have done a bit toward showing them why we keep going back to WDW!!!

I made the potatoes tonight for dinner. They were a big hit. I didn't have heavy cream so I used table cream. Guess we'll be eating the new NOODLE dish when we get there in a few weeks!

Ooohhh what noodle dish is that? Am I missing out on something??

MickeyNicki - How long did you cook it for? I know for it said one hour for the original receipe, but how much time did you add for doubling?

Thanks!

I had the oven timer on for one hour but it was still a bit wet and not too brown on the top so I gave it an additional 20 minutes, took it out of the oven and let it sit for 10-15 minutes (covered with tin foil) until I served it
