'Ohana or Yak and Yeti?

Which would you choose for dinner, 'Ohana or Yak and Yeti? My 4 year old daughter caught me by surprise and wants to do Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios on our next long weekend, when I was expecting her to pick MK and one of the others. I have a 5:30 'Ohana, but should I switch it for a Yak and Yeti?

Of the two, we much prefer Yak and Yeti. Ohana is such a time drain -- we were seated almost an hour after our reservation last time. It just made everyone irritable and really hungry. In contrast, Yak and Yeti was relaxing with great food and plenty of it!

True a 4 yr old, With that Much food at Ohana... I haven't tried Yak & Yeti, but hoping to snag an ADR this upcoming trip....I'd go for that.

Where are you staying, and what are you doing after dinner?

If you want to see a Tree of Life Awakening or similar, you'll want to stay at AK. Trying to do AK > Ohana (which always seats late) > back to AK before close, especially if it stays 7-7:30 for a while? Won't work.

Have never been to Yak & Yeti, but we love Ohana, so that would be my choice.

Are you by chance staying at the Poly? If yes, and still wanted to do Ohana, you could do the Twilight Feast which serves Ohana food in your room for less $.

I like both, but this trip, when we were deciding we had to pick, and everyone decided they would prefer Yak and Yeti.

I would absolutely choose 'Ohana everyday and twice on Sundays. When we did Yak and Yeti, we were terribly disappointed. It wasn't that the food was bad, you see, because it would have had to have had flavor in order for it to be bad. The service, however, was bad. We are Landry's Select Club members so we get a survey after we eat at one of their restaurants. We told them we were disappointed and received a phone call from the manager apologizing and asking us to come back and give them another try. When we went back, he made all of his recommendations, we ordered those, and still disappointed in the overall flavor.

'Ohana, on the other hand, has never disappointed. The food is always excellent and the service has been fantastic. We love the atmosphere, as well. I definitely would recommend you stick with 'Ohana over Yak and Yeti.

Stick with O'hana. It's alot of food, but lots of choices and the dessert is delicious!!! That is a hard place to get an ADR for. FYI, you can probably get into Yak and Yeti for lunch without a reservation. Lunch menu is the same as the dinner (since I was there last anyway). We have always gotten in for lunch in the past without an ADR

My daughter and I love Yak and Yeti! The decor is so cool and it is much less expensive and you don't over eat like Ohana when the food never stops coming! We loved the House Fried rice and the honey chicken was good too..We even went back another day and ordered the fried rice again from the bar and took it outside in the quick service area and grabbed a table and ate it..
The service was great! Yak and Yeti is a must do for us now and if you will be at AK anyway it is so much more convenient than going to Ohana.

Thanks for the help, everyone! It looks like we will be switching to Yak and Yeti. I forgot they are open for lunch too, that will actually work out much better for us so we can get more pool time in too.

I had Yak & Yeti on a whim on my last trip and loved it! Very relaxing inside, decent portion sizes, but pricey considering what you can get at your local chinese takeout. Definitely Disney prices, but everyone loved their food.
