We will have 14 of us. Kids 1,2,6,8,12,13,15,16, (6 boys and 2 girls ) and 6 adults including grandparents. Which would be better Ohana or Whipering Canyon? Thanks!

We've never done Ohana...but it is on the list for our next visit. Personally, we will never go back to WCC after our experience last year--terrible service, terrible food and husband got sick on the food.

We have done both, loved the food at Ohana. When we went to WCC there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. The food was ok, my DH likes that kind of food, so better for him. The service was ok, the kids did stick horse races, but themselves. But no antics. I'm trying to decide if we should give it another try. Even if we decide to do WCC, we will probably still do Ohana with just our family.

We've done both and unfortunately had subpar service experiences at both, but good food. However, the service issues seemed to negatively affect our overall dining experience more at Ohana than at WCC. And, given that Disney has also made some changes to the Ohana menu since we ate there which aren't very appealing to my tastes, I personally would opt for WCC. Good luck with your decision!! :goodvibes

We go to 'Ohana every time we're at WDW. We were just there in April and had great food and fantastic service! Also, there are activities for the kids, like coconut races, dances, and more. It was a very nice dinner, too.

We can get the food at WCC at home, but not the food at 'Ohana, so that's another reason why we choose 'Ohana over WCC.

As for the menu, the "new" noodles were fantastic! DD was sad the potatoes were gone until she tried the noodles -- she loved them! And, IMO, the dessert at 'Ohana is the BEST!!!! Since it's served family-style, you can ask for seconds on whatever you'd like, too!

I think they are used to big parties like yours -- whenever we are there we've seen tables for groups like yours.:)

I would do O'Hana with that group, even though we've been to both and really enjoyed both. The "antics" at WCC are fun, but O'Hana is a bit more predictable (less dependent on the server), and more interactive (the limbo, pushing the coconut w/ a broom races, hula hoops, etc.) We enjoyed the food at both places, but none of the food was gourmet. Just decent food and lots of meat. The Banana Bread Pudding for dessert at O'Hana is the best dessert on property IMHO (and DW's opinion, also). Usually I'd go for something chocolate, but that dessert was amazing.

Plus, the view at O'Hana is better if you are by the window. Make sure you request to be in the main dining area. Otherwise, you miss most of the show.

We allowed each of our kids to choose a meal for our upcoming trip. DS3 chose Chef Mickeys, and DD6 chose O'Hana even though we haven't been there in 2 years. It's her first year not choosing a Princess Character Meal.

I like both. I prefer the food at Ohana, but the atmosphere at both places is awesome for large groups AND kids. The only problem that I had with WCC is that it felt like our meal took FOREVER. Our server was great, but a little on the slow side. We are going to Ohana again this trip, and will probably have to make that one a "repeat performer"

We've done both a few times each. They are both on our MUST DO list but for different reasons. Ohana seems a bit more upscale-the kids get to learn to hula, do coconut races, the food and the atmosphere just seems a bit "nicer." WCC on the other hand is very relaxed, the food is messy BBQ dripping with sauce and butter, the kids do stick pony races, get straws at them and run ketchup all over the restaurant. At times our service at Ohana has seemed rushed because they start bringing your food practically the second you sit down. We've had to remind ourselves we don't have to rush just because our server was. On the other hand, we've had to wait a bit to get our bill or dessert at WCC.

So in other words, just figure out which food/atmosphere your family would appreciate the best. Both are VERY kid friendly and fun!

'Ohana was the one meal that we were truly disappointed with in our last vist to WDW.

The meat was dried out and tasted like lighter fluid. We talked to another couple on one of the buses the next day, and they had the same experience. They thought that the food quality had gone way down when compared to previous visits.

Having done both, my choice would be 'Ohana, for food and atmosphere.

They both have good food IMO. If you enjoy silly and fun entertainment, I'd go for WCC!

We have done both and prefer Ohana. My kids (6 & 3) enjoyed the coconut races and hula dancing more than the stick races and hokey pokey at WCC, and my husband and I definitely enjoyed the food more at Ohana
