I am still losing my mind planning my trip. Which is better for a Character breakfast. Food, Atmosphere, Character interaction??

I swear I was up until 2am contemplating dining choices. I have got to stop. I have gone Disney nuts!!

Thanks

I wanted to add that since this is the 1st WDW trip, I am planning several character meals.

CRT- Dinner
Crystal Palace -Breakfast
Akershus- Breakfast

I just need a good Mickey one and the reviews of Chef Mickeys don't seem too good.

Yes, all this planning will make you nuts! We are doing CRTfor lunch and Cape May for breakfast. We just need to see Minnie so my daughter can take a pic with her (I had a custom Minnie Mouse outfit made for her)....plus Goofy and Donald will be there too. I actually seem to recall Chef Mickey's breakfast getting good reviews, not sure about dinner.

We loved Ohana for breakfast last year! So much that I'm struggling not to make another reservation for this year. It's just DBF and I so, I try to only schedule 1 kiddo type meal per trip. And this year we are going to try Tusker House for breakfast.
The atmosphere was beautiful. They start off by bringing a basket of sweet breads, fruit and juice to the table. Then they bring over skillets of eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and walk around passing out Mickey waffles. And who doesn't love a Mickey Mouse shaped waffle?! :)
I also felt we had quality time with the characters as well. We even got some silly shots of Pluto getting silly with me. I scratched his belly and he started acting like a dog and stomping his foot on the ground and "licking" my head and hugging me.

We go to Tusker House every year for breakfast...it is GREAT!!! Mickey, Minne, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Pluto are all there. They go from room to room and the interaction is great. Every 1/2 hour or so they do a "dance" around the dining rooms and the kids all get to use African noise makers and dance around with the characters. The food is really good too...actually we love the food there more than any other breakfast place in WDW. They have some special juice there which I can't remember the name of but it is different and delicious. Tusker House gets my vote without question!!!

Did Ohana yesterday and did Tusker's House today, hands down do Tusker's House it was just great. One of our favs now

You already have 2 breakfasts that are buffets. If you're kids are young, I'd go with 'Ohana because it's much more relaxing when they bring the food to your table.

Character interaction is great! The kids get up and parade with the characters during the meal which is cute, too.

I second Tusker. We were there Jan.5, 2010 and all the kids loved it. Even the teenager, who eats very healthy, loved the food. Great variety and the characters are great.:cheer2:

We have never done Tusker House, about the only character meal we haven't. But we love Ohana's. The character interaction was beyond fabulous. Getting to have Stitch there made it all the better. I believe this is the only meal that Stitch appears at, and he was hilarious with the kids. They got to dance around the restaurant, a character parade. :goodvibes

we have done ohana before, and did tusker house last june-LOVED it! our waiter was great, the food was delicious, and the characters were great :) ohana serves food family style, and tusker house is a buffet. ohana has mickey, pluto, lilo and stitch; tusker house has mickey, goofy, donald and daisy. at ohana, there is a maraca (sp?) parade around the restaurant every 30 minutes to an hour, and tusker house has something similar. given a choice, i would likely do tusker house again, depending upon my park plans for that day.

did both this past trip in february, all 3 of us agreed tusker house was far better. we were very disappointed in ohana and tusker was surprisingly good, both for breakfast and lunch (separate days of course!). don't get me wrong, i love the atmosphere at the poly in general, but we tried ohana's for breakfast and dinner and were disappointed in both. tusker is not fancy, but the food was really very good and the little kids parade with african instruments was great too! ps. we also like crystal palace for breakfast!

I'd pick Tusker House. It was one of the best breakfast buffets that we had last week and the character interaction was great!

Tusker is an awesome breakfast. Yummy food with a few items out of the ordinary (plus all your regular fare), Photo ops with Donald, Daisy, Mickey and Goofy, and if you get there before park opens, you can leave breakfast and hop right on the first safari!

We are not planning to do Animal Kingdom this year...So we were planning to do either Chef Mickey's, Ohana or Cape May for breakfast one day. We already did Chef Mickey's before. Can someone tell me what characters were recently at Ohana for breakfast? I know it's Lilo & Stitch, but is Mickey there too?:confused3
Thanks!

It should be Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto.

Ask Stitch if he'd like to have some coffee. : )
