We went to Ohana's the first night of our vacation last May. DD9 wasn't feeling very well which may have altered our view of things a bit, but not much. We had a lovely window table which was nice. Our experience with the dinner was not what we had expected. The steak was tough, so tough that I, the meat lover, couldn't chew it. The shrimp was spicy...and what a mess having to peel them with all that sauce on them. (I did like the flavor, but no one else did) The pork was ummmm, just sort of there. BUT, we all loved the Turkey! It was very yummy.
I would also give a HUGE thumbs up to the pineapple with the caramel dipping sauce! YUUUUUUMMMMMMYYYY! Use the sauce! Also, we ordered two of the desserts off the menu. The coconut snowball thingy and a raspberry something. I can't remember off the top of my head, but it was sort of like a cheesecake. We mentioned that we were going to split the desserts and our "cousin" (waitress) delivered the desserts with 6 spoons...and she made sure to make a big deal about the spoons. Very funny.
None of my kids would participate in the events. My dd2 would have done the coconut rolling, I think, but she had just gone for a walk with Dad when they started it. They got back just as it was ending. She did see the kids getting the gummy worms and couldn't talk about anything else until she had a gummy worm. Our "cousin" brought not one, but an entire PLATEFUL of gummy worms!!! (which DD2 rationed out sparingly to her brother and sisters, keeping most for herself!

)
Ohana's for us was a unique experience, but we will probably not go back any time soon. Try it, everyone seems to have a different opinion. We just didn't care for it, mostly.
