Ohana or Garden Grill?

Hi all! Help my family and I choose between Ohana and Garden Grill!

We currently have a res for both of them on June 26 on our Epcot day.
Ohana: 7:50 PM
Garden Grill: 4:15 PM

We've dined at Ohana before and really loved it but are worried about late seating at 7:50 PM.

We've never dined at Garden Grill and I think it would be cool to do a rotating character dining restaurant.

If we eat at Ohana we're probably gonna do Sunshine Seasons for lunch.

And if we eat at Garden Grill...? Idk 4:15PM is a pretty early dinner so we might just snack around the world for brunch? We've never been to WS...

my first thought isn't about food: if you have Ohana reservations at 7:50 on your Epcot day, you'll miss IllumiNations. I love the nighttime shows, and I wouldn't choose to miss any of them.

Farmer Mickey is absolutely adorable. However, overall we definitely prefer Ohana to Garden Grill. With that said, every restaurant is worth trying once. If you have been wanting to try Garden Grill, go for it. I just prefer the food at Ohana.

Ohana - hands down! Garden Grill is good and it's a different experience....so if you want to experience something different then go there....But Ohana's is our family's MUST DO on every trip. We just love it there!

Would getting to Ohana early alleviate the late seating issue?

No. We love 'Ohana and have eaten there at least 15 times in the past 15 years. They are notorious for running behind. We have had 5 pm ADR's and have not been seated until 6 pm or later. They usually won't even let you check-in until 15 mins prior to your ADR time. We tried getting there early a couple times and it was worthless as the place is constantly packed. If you get there early (say an hour before your ADR time), you are essentially a walk up and will be asked to: A. return 15 mins prior to your ADR time, B. told there is no seating available for walk ups or, C. told there will be a 30-45 min wait as a walk up.

The food is better at O'hana, but you've been there. I vote for trying something new! Garden Grill is super cute and IMHO, it's one of the better character meals. Love that the characters AND the food come to you and you don't have to contend with a buffet. Plus, you won't have to leave EP. WS at night is beautiful.

Yeah that's also the thing... my mom really wanted to eat at CRT so we're eating there but she, my littlest brother and I are the only ones who like to meet princesses. My middle brother and my dad would probably be really bored so the characters at Garden Grill is a big pro.
