Trying to get my final decisions on places to eat for next May. So far I have

1900 Park Fare for breakfast
Boma- Dinner
Biergarten- Dinner
50's Prime Time Cafe- Dinner
Garden Grill- Dinner

Now I can't decide between Chef Mickey's for dinner or Ohana for dinner. My group is four adults (me, my DH, and my mom and dad). Which one has better food and atmosphere and is more fun? Thanks for your help!

Purely personal call, but for us Chef Mickey's has the better selection of food. Both places are equally noisy and active, which can translate into fun.

It really depends on Character Dining. If you want to dine with characters then pick Chef Mickey's. Ohana's (at dinner) is fun minus the characters.

Both CM and 'Ohana are fun, but for a party of adults, I would go with 'Ohana. That way, you get to visit the Poly with it's exotic South Seas atmosphere, and since the food is brought to the table at 'Ohana, you don't have the "up and down" dance required at a buffet.

I ate at both last July (adults only) and I totally prefered and had more fun and enjoyed the food more at Chef Mickey's.

Characters were a blast--I have great pics--food for all kinds of tastes whereas the menu is extremely limited at Ohana.

Ohana does have a nice bar though and the decor of the hotel is lovely.

OHANA'S!

We go to Ohana's 2 times each trip for dinner.
We have done all the character meals we want to do and loved them all!

I would say Ohana, definitely. Chef Mickey's has a great breakfast, but their dinner doesn't quite measure up, in my opinion. Ohana has terrific decor and I love the atmosphere of the Poly resort. Also, Ohana is DELICIOUS.

We have done both and Ohana is a thousand times better than Chef Mickeys....while the characters at CM were awesome the food was horrible.

I personally love Ohana's because the food is great and you can get all kinds meat right off the grill.

For anyone traveling there soon - if you time your dinner at around 8:30 on the same day as Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween, you get an amazing view of the fireworks since you're directly across the lake and they actually pipe in the music from the park into the restaurant. It's really cool. If you decide to do that, check with someone there to see what time the fireworks show is and try to request a table by the window.

'Ohana, really didn't rate CM dinner very much!

I'd say definately O'hana's because we ate at Chef Mickeys on
last trip and the food was gross, it was very noisey, cost way to
much for what you get (I thought it cost to much and we were on
the Free Dining Plan--I would have really been mad if I had to
pay for it).

O'hana's food is very good and great Atmosphere-
you won't be disappointed.

We've always loved the food and the bonus is it is served FAMILY STYLE!

If you have more than one child at a buffet, you'll really appreciate not getting up and down every two minutes and just relaxing and having everything brought to you!
